I'm Kevin and you could say that I'm a cultural interpreter, not a teacher (passing on knowledge) or a sightseeing guide (pointing things out). I'm more like a reverse anthropologist: a local expert insider explaining and sharing Rothenburg's culture and history with my inquisitive customers.

I lead exploratory walks and unscripted cultural experiences.

Information is presented in a way that allows my guests to make their own mental connections because, after all, a tour with just interesting information is infotainment.

The most memorable tours are the ones that make people think and feel.

Rothenburg, seemingly untouched by the passage of time, is a town on the Romantic Road that is approx. 1 hour drive from Nuremberg. It is known for its medieval town center and its mostly undamaged 14th-century town wall. In the Middle Ages, Rothenburg was a free imperial city, reaching its apex of prosperity in the 15th-century.

Suitable for all physical fitness levels

Children under 4 feet in height or younger than 12 years old must be in a car seat.

Rothenburg Town Hall

My Rothenburg Day Trip departs Nuremberg at 10am and returns to Nuremberg around 6pm, 7 days a week come rain or shine. Rothenburg is known for its medieval town center and its mostly undamaged 14th-century town wall. This tour will take you to all of the interesting, historical sites within the medieval city wall that are integral components of Rothenburg’s rich history. Some of the sites we’ll explore are the Castle Gate and Castle Garden with its view of the Tauber Valley, Plönlein (Little Square) and Siebers Tower, the impressive Spital Bastion, and the Handworker’s House from 1217. After the tour, you’ll have time to visit the Criminal Museum, take a walk along the top of the medieval city wall, or just shop and explore all of the alluring side streets and alleyways within this well-preserved medieval town. My Rothenburg day tour is a leisurely, kid-friendly, walking tour where YOU set the pace. Please don’t forget to wear comfortable walking shoes.

I had an amazing tour of Rotenburg. From the time Kevin picked me up in Nuremberg, to the time he dropped me back off at the end of the day he was extremely knowledgeable and provide interesting information throughout the journey to and through Rotenburg. He allowed me to set the pace for the tour and I didn't feel rushed to move on if something caught my interest. He allowed me time to explore on my own and made sure I was comfortable with where to locate him before I ventured off on my own. He had a terrific recommendation for a lunch location. I would definitely reach out to him again if I am find myself back in the area and in need of a guide.

We stayed in Nuremberg and traveled to Rothenburg for a Christmas market day trip. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the history of the city during a private walking tour with him, followed by a tasty lunch and shopping time.

Kevin was very knowledgeable and interesting on our 8 hour tour. Loved the history of rothenberg o b t . Lots of little known facts about the town and its prior members midevil residents. It was emotional to hear and experience where Jewish families lived and parished during the midevil plague and WW2. With only a brass square in the sidewalk to commemorate their existence. It’s sad no Jewish families are living in Rothenberg today. Knowing history is the only way to prevent it from happening again.

My partner and I loved the tour! It was nice to have an experience just for the two of us. Kevin was great and knowledgeable and had the best recommendations for lunch. I am so glad we chose the tour rather than trying to go at it alone. Kevin was lovely and it was our favorite day of the trip!

My adult children and I took a tour with Kevin to Rothenburg ob de Tauber. Fascinating place. Kevin showed us all the good spots and gave us some interesting stories. This was a great day. Rothenburg is beautiful.
