Take a tour of the former Nazi Party rally grounds and see the most important remains of National Socialist architecture in Germany. Learn about the use of megalomaniac architecture as a theatrical backdrop to large-scale propaganda ceremonies, and hear about how Nuremberg has dealt with its National Socialist legacy.
Start at the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds, then head along the Dutzendteich Lake to several key sites in the extensive area of the former rally grounds. After visiting the Congress Hall, see the Great Road, the main parade ground of the German Army. End up at the Zeppelin Field where most of the activities and rallies of the Nazi Party Rallies took place.

Kongresshalle Nurnberg
Here you will learn from the guide about the National Socialist Party, their crimes, and propaganda rallies. Experience the size of the ruins of the Congress Hall standing at 40 meters. At the so-called "Arcadengang", you will discover how the National Socialists translated their ideology into their architecture.
The guide leads them around the Dutzendteich. On the "Große Straße" you learn about the numerous buildings that were planned. In addition to the "Märzfeld" and the "Deutsches Stadion", the participant camps were also embedded in the Nazi machinery of crime during the war.
If open, entrance to the otherwise inaccessible Golden Hall

The guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable and painted a picture of what went on here. I would not purchase your ticket on trip advisor on site they sell tickets for 10 to 12 euro. It is still under construction but in my opinion it doesn't effect the tour.

It’s a waking tour, you’re going to walk. Be prepared for all and any type of weather. Just come prepared

Found the tour a bit disjointed. 2 ladies were late so we were walked round for 10 minutes trying to find them. Tour was about 3 mile walk in total. Distanced was ok but some were struggling.

There are basically only three stops on the tour. The Congress, Great Road & Rally Grounds. The Congress is partly obscured by the temporary Opera building, the Great Road is interesting to look at its size & length - but is just a road. The Rally grounds are under scaffolding meaning you can’t walk on the balcony . The organisers should have known the Golden Room would be closed as it too is under scaffolding.

Very knowledgeable tour guide explains the rise of Nazi fascism in Nuremberg, and the plans for the massive fascist building projects. You will be on your feet for 2 hours, and it is a long walk, so be prepared for whatever the weather is, and wear good walking shoes.

It is a very nice walk, you can walk from Nuremberg, along a very nice path and the place itself, makes you see the magnitude of how you could manipulate the masses.

Highly recommended. For two hours, our guide Sylvia managed to paint a chilling picture of the ideas of the NS leaders at the time. Not a moment bored by the enthusiasm and skill of the guide.

This WWII “excursion” to the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds was part of our Viking Cruises extension in Nurnberg. The only remaining structure is the stripped-down viewing stand which needs structural repair. But you can still climb up onto the top section. The wide-open seven-acre area in front was initially used for the assembled public and military but is now part of a vehicle raceway and soccer pitches. It should be visited for what it was not for what it currently is. This site needs material providing historical context.
