This tour is a must do!!! Our sweet guide took us all over the city. We tried so many new foods, went to both touristy and local markets, and heard so much of El Salvador’s history. We fell in love with El Salvador in just 4 hours! Book this tour if you’re in San Salvador!

Loved everything about this tour; the street foods, the monuments and buildings, the hidden places, the history… Elisa was the perfect guide and made us feel safe and welcome. She communicated beautifully and even suggested a spot to park, since we were driving for our activity. Elisa even shared information about other activities. She’s a gem! This experience is exactly what I was looking for in San Salvador. Elisa is knowledgeable about the culture, history of El Salvador and her passion shines brightly. We went everywhere, markets, libraries and the tour ended with a visit to the oldest pool hall in San Salvador. We love our time with Elisa and recommend her as a guide for everyone.

Elisa was absolutely INCREDIBLE. This tour was perfect for our first day in the city. She provided not just the history but a unique and welcoming experience. The locations we we t to were perfect, and all of the food we tried was delicious. Elisa showed us a wonderful time in a beautiful city, and I cannot recommend her and this tour enough!

I had an amazing experience on this tour in El Salvador! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, especially about the country’s history and politics, and patiently answered all of my questions. Elisa was fantastic! She has a depth of knowledge about the history of El Salvador and San Salvador. This tour will take you to actual local spots, where you can eat a variety of local street food. Markets, historical sites, modern marvels, and it ends with a beer! We couldn't have asked for a better tour.

We had a wonderful experience on the Private San Salvador City, History & Local Life Tour. Our guide, Elisa, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour both educational and engaging. We appreciated how accommodating they were with the timing and the specific stops we wanted to include — it really felt personalized to our interests. The tour gave us a deeper understanding of El Salvador’s rich history and culture, and it was a great way to see both the highlights and hidden gems of the city. The only feedback I’d offer is to have some alternative food stop options for Sunday tours, as a few of the planned spots were closed. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience, which was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about San Salvador beyond the surface!

Our Tour guide Elisa was the best out here to tell us about El Salvador and the background of its Capital. Good views from the library balcony. Elisa provided with a lot of information that left me surprised on how much the city itself has changed and become one of the best and safest place to visit. I suggest you come and explore San Salvador, El Salvador.
