  A very good day travelling to see Mount Fuji and the surrounding area. We probably could have shortened the day slightly by not visiting some of the tourist shops. Max did his best to try and get us the best view of Mount Fuji. A two hour drive from Tokyo but worth it.

  We did this tour yesterday (19/4). We were colllected by our guide (Shish) and driver (Wang) from our hotel in Tokyo. They were on time and the mini van was spotlessly clean and luxurious. We had a fabulous day and Shish was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and in relation to spending time in Tokyo. We visited the 4th station of Mt. Fuji, lake Kawaguchi and lake Saiko. The views of Mt. Fuji were spectacular. We spent time in a lovely flower garden overlooking Kawaguchi. We then visited Saiko kasha no Sato Nemba which had been destroyed in a mud slide in 1996. This is now a museum village to show how Japanese life once was. We also had lunch at a traditional restaurant. At the end of the day we were delivered back to our hotel in complete comfort. Our driver, Wang was an excellent driver, safely navigating the Tokyo traffic and giving us great courtesy all day. An fabulous day out with the benefit of having an excellent tour guide…😎

  Anas was an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable driver, offering great advice on where to visit first. Although the weather prevented us from seeing Mount Fuji, looking back at photos from others, we can tell that his suggested locations would have provided the best views for capturing its beauty. On a clear day, this tour would offer breathtaking sights of Mount Fuji, and Anas’s professionalism, politeness, and warm demeanour made the journey all the more enjoyable. It’s worth noting that this is primarily a driver-guided tour—the driver is happy to answer questions but does not accompany guests while exploring the sites.

  Our driver Haseeb collected us at our apartment exactly on time. He was very polite and helpful, giving us options for our day. We decided to visit the surrounding area around Mt Fuji. Our driver drove very well and we had a smooth, safe journey. We were offered comfort breaks in both directions and contact with other drivers meant we were able to detour on the way home avoiding queues due to an accident. We visited a village where unfortunately the cable car (ropeway) was suspended ‘due to thunder’ even as Haseeb walked us along to it before leaving us to our own devices. We went to some gardens - this was more like a small garden centre/gift shop/ ice cream shop rather than the walk around park we were expecting! However there were pretty seasonal flowers out adding to photographs. Mt Fuji was a bit moody when we visited but we saw almost all of it as the day wore on. Finally we went to Chureito Pagoda. For us we were at the end of our holiday and we were tired which meant that we appreciated the chauffeur driven trip. Haseeb knew where to find good views along the way too. However the trip advertises a guide and although we were given a few facts and figures about Mt Fuji and places we visited, our perception of a guide would be someone walking us to the sights and telling us about the locations, not just dropping us off and picking us up. ( Maybe we were spoilt by my Japanese friend travelling with us for much of our trip and giving us information on everywhere we visited) That said it was a good trip for us. There were only 4 of us on the trip but there was room for more people in the van and for other people in a slightly bigger group, or like us for people who appreciate the door to door service and flexibility to choose time spent at each location this would be a worthwhile option.
