  I had an amazing surfing experience in Tamarindo with Jason and Jonathan! From the very beginning, they were incredibly professional, patient, and focused on safety, which made me feel completely comfortable in the water. What really stood out was how respectful and friendly they both were—they created such a positive and relaxed vibe that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. After the session, they even invited us to their office and treated us to fresh coconut drinks, which was such a thoughtful and authentic touch. This isn’t just a typical surf lesson—it’s a unique experience where you truly connect with locals and get a real feel for the place. On top of that, their pricing is very reasonable compared to other options in the area.   Absolutely amazing experience. He was so informative, helpful and resourceful. This is way better than doing a big group lesson. More one on one time and more time in the water. He makes you feel very welcoming, you feel like a real local at home.

  ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Jason is an outstanding teacher and human being. He has a passion and energy for surfing that is unrivaled. Not only did he teach my 12 year old daughter to surf, but he also taught her to read the waves - one of the most challenging parts of surfing. He was safety conscious and fun all at the same time. You could not find a better person than Jason to teach you to surf. She had the experience of a lifetime.

  I was only in Tamarindo for a few days, but my goal for the trip was to learn how to surf. I tried a few different coaches, either because I felt they didn’t really know how to teach, or because I didn’t feel entirely safe as a solo female traveler. As a solo female traveler, feeling safe and comfortable in the water is very important to me. I found Jason while randomly scrolling (and I also liked the idea of supporting local Ticos), and I’m so glad I did! Jason doesn’t just know how to surf. He really knows how to teach. More importantly, you can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion is contagious. After his lesson, I felt much more connected to the board and to the waves. Surfing is so much more than just having someone push you into waves and tell you when to stand up. Jason actually teaches you what you need to understand, whether you're a beginner or more advanced. As someone who enjoys the “theory” behind things, I especially appreciated his clear and structured explanations. We started with some theory on the beach before going into the water. The conditions weren’t ideal that day, but Jason is excellent at reading waves, and I was still able to catch several. It was a great conclusion to my trip. I only had time for one lesson before leaving, but I will definitely book more with him next time I’m back in Tamarindo, and I’ll absolutely be recommending him to my friends. If you're looking to surf in Tamarindo, I highly recommend booking a lesson with Jason. Whether you're serious about improving or just want to try surfing for fun, you'll have a great experience, and it will help you have a better understanding of surfing as a sport.

  Jason is a great instructor and his love of surfing makes the experience even better. His Love, Energy and Passion for surfing is motivating and infectious. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn to surf in an authentic surfing experience. Pura Vida. 🏄‍♂️

  Jason is a fantastic teacher and his passion for the sea and surfing is contagious! He is an expert in reading and riding the sea. We felt so blessed to learn from him and learn how to embrace, not resist the ocean. Under his guidance, my 78 year-old father was able to ride the waves four times all the way to the beach, on his very first surfing class! I highly recommend Jason to anyone who wishes to learn surfing the real tico way :)

  Exceeded expectations, the BEST place to book your surfing lessons! David was a pro at teaching our group of 10-21 yr olds and gave us a wonderful personalized experience. He determined the time and place based on weather conditions and very generously spent a lot of extra time with us getting to a beautiful less crowded beach, giving us a relaxed experience. Everything was included: surf boards, wet suits, etc. and all 4 participating caught many waves! We felt like we were with a knowledgeable surfer friend vs a corporation churning groups. We also enjoyed the most delicious pineapple we’ve ever had! Muchas gracias, David. Book with him, you won’t regret it!
