Zhinvali Dam

Ananuri fortress complex

Visit Ananuri Fortress – medieval defensive fortress, built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. With its impressive towers, defensive walls, and a beautiful Church of the Assumption, Ananuri Fortress offers visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history and serves as a popular tourist attraction in Georgia. The fortress is on the Unesco Tentative list.
