This private tour will show you to the unusual place of the Danxia park, take the private car to explore and take very good photos in the park.

The area of Zhang in Danxia National Geopark is 510 square kilometres in total, it located in the north of Qilian mountains, SuNa County territory. It includes the colour hills in Linze country ,ice hills, Danxia and GanZhou District and PingShan lake. The scenic Danxia, is a distance of 40 km from east Zhang Ye city, north from Linze county town by 20 kilometers, this is the most typical arid area of northern China.

We took this tour thinking we’d be on a crowded bus and in a lot of crowds, but were pleasantly surprised that the tour was actually in a park van, and we got off at platforms in the park that only 100 visitors can visit per day, after which we joined the crowds for the regular platforms. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and his English was fantastic. We were picked up directly from the train station and dropped back off at our hotel! 10/10 would recommend.

These mountains are worth the trip, a very unusual scenery within China. The time we visited, there weren’t many tourist and it felt like we can truly enjoy the incredible vistas offered by the rainbow mountains. Steven is an amazing guide and companion, not only is he very knowledgeable about the logistics of the area but he also knew when to give our family our own private time to enjoy the place. Highly recommended!
