5.00We had an incredible private tour with Auckland & Beyond, and our guide Jon truly made the day. From the moment we met him (when he picked us up at 7 AM at our hotel), it was clear we were in great hands. He has a background in the military and security, which shows in the best possible way—he’s calm, attentive, organized, and just quietly on top of everything. He planned a fantastic day for us. We rode the gondola up to Skyline Rotorua and did the luge rides (which my kids absolutely loved). At the top we had lunch overlooking Lake Rotorua, and the view was beautiful. It was one of those moments where you just sit there thinking, “This is why we came to New Zealand.” Jon then took us to geothermal lakes and thermal areas that we probably never would have found on our own, and later to a working farm where we watched sheep shearing and fed baby goats. That was a huge hit with the kids. What I appreciated most was how natural everything felt. Jon clearly knows the area incredibly well and shared lots of interesting information about New Zealand along the way, but it never felt like a rehearsed tour. It felt more like spending the day exploring with someone who genuinely enjoys showing people around his country. If you’re booking a private tour with Auckland & Beyond, definitely ask for Jon. He was fantastic and made the whole day memorable for our family.

5.00Our tour was spectacular. Our tour guide Adil was extremely knowledgeable about New Zealand. He was very friendly and professional and provided just the right amount of commentary. His passion for New Zealand was abundant. The glow worm cave was incredible and the hot springs and geysers in Rotarua were amazing. It is a long day with a lot of driving, but well worth it.

5.00We had a great experience with Warren our tour guide. We were just a small group of 4 so it was perfect to interact. The pick up at the hotel was on point, it was a 12 hours tour due to the long distances but it was all worth it especially with the amazing landscapes all around. We stopped at the cave first and then headed to the Geothermal site and the Maori craft center. It is not a short ride but if you are in Auckland for a few days I totally recommend booking this type of tour.

5.00Excellent tour , our excellent driver guide Adil described to us throughout the trip the history of New Zealand from the arrival of the first explorers to the present day, which was very interesting, and the visit to the site geyser the ancestral dances all were excellent.

5.00Quite a drive from Aukland, but absolutely worth the time and the money! The scenery on the drive is beautiful: endless green fields, luah forests and picturesque towns. Floating on a boat at Waitomo glow worm caves, I felt like I could reach out an touch the stars. The ceiling and walls of the caves twinkle with glow worms! The Rotorua geothermal pools and geysers are otherworldly. I "windbathed" in the mineral rich steam blowing in puffs of cloud from the geysers. Our guide, Aiman was excellent; knowledgeable and friendly and he stopped so we could get fresh blueberries and ice cream on the way home. The tour company was great to deal with.

5.00Packed full day! Our tour guide, Gary, was most accommodating, knowledgeable ,and personable ! Enjoyed the stories and information on the ride out. Learned about the Māori , saw a kiwi and had a great lunch. Definitely do the cultural experience and lunch
