5.00Today’s tour with Ali exceeded our expectations and brought the fascinating history of the pyramids to life. We booked a private half-day tour for our family of four with transfer from our hotel. Ali was extremely friendly and fantastic with the two boys, aged 8 and 9, who were gripped by his stories and facts before we even arrived at the pyramids. With a local guide to take care of the trip’s logistics, we were able to relax and turn our focus to learning about the Pyramids and enjoying the beauty and wonder of this very special place. We enjoyed a camel ride and photographs at the Giza Plateau, before seeing the pyramids up close and going inside one of the queen’s pyramids. We finished the tour at the Sphinx and then stopped at the papyrus museum on the way to lunch. Having a knowledgable historian helped us understand the engineering and precision behind the pyramids, as well as the spiritual importance of these incredible structures. Ali made sure that the information was accessible for the children but not dumbed down, and his passion for culture and knowledge was infectious. We all learnt a lot today and have made memories to cherish.

5.00We traveled to Egypt this past December with our teenage son and had a fantastic trip. This was made possible by our tour group and tour guide Ali Salama. He is a archeologist by training and really knows the history of the ruins and the ancient world. To some, this amounts to unnecessary detail. To me, I thoroughly enjoyed the context. Ali helped keep us safe by taking us only to places that he considered safe and to markets where we can find authentic Egyptian souvenirs (versus ones made in China). The restaurants he helped pick had excellent views, food, and service. We sped past long lines and arrived at museums and sites when the crowds were more reasonable. In the end, we saw everything we wanted to see and the trip turned about to be the trip of a lifetime. Egypt is too vast, too complex to DIY this trip. Call Ali Salama and see the country as it was meant to be seen.

5.00What an incredible tour! My guide was so knowledgeable, respectful, kind, and fun! I also felt completely safe the entire time which was important to me being a solo female traveler. My experiences at the pyramids and Sphinx was truly unforgettable and I will forever be changed by my days on this tour. You are in good hands and I highly recommend finding your soul in Egypt!
