Thingvellir National Park
We will drive around 45 minutes to get to Þingvellir National Park is a stunning natural wonder located in southwestern Iceland. It is one of the country's most important historical and cultural sites and is home to a range of fascinating geological features. The park is situated on the edge of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Another notable feature of Þingvellir National Park is Lake Þingvallavatn, which is Iceland's largest natural lake. Is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and snorkeling/ scuba diving. Þingvellir National Park is also an important historical site, as it was the location of Iceland's first parliament, the Althing. The Althing was established in the year 930 AD and was held at Þingvellir every summer for over 800 years. Visitors to the park can explore the remains of the parliament site and learn more about Iceland's rich history and culture.
Geysir
Geysir is the larger of the two geysers and is the one that gave its name to all other geysers around the world. However, Geysir is not as active as it once was and now erupts infrequently. In fact, it can sometimes go years without erupting at all. Nevertheless, visitors can still see the impressive geothermal features of the area, including the hot springs and bubbling mud pools. Strokkur, on the other hand, is a much more active geyser and erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, shooting water up to 30 meters into the air. This makes it a popular attraction for tourists who gather around to witness the spectacle. The geothermal activity in the area is caused by the fact that Iceland sits on top of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. This creates a unique geological environment that is rich in hot springs, geysers, and other geothermal features.

5.00This was our first trip to Iceland and we didn’t know what to expect. I decided to try out the Mastercard Experience and was impressed. Our guide, Tomasz, was excellent and provided nice explanations of each of our sites we visited. While the cost of the tour looks expensive, everything in Iceland is expensive. At the end of the day, I believe you get good value from the private tour as compared to the big bus tours. I can’t thank Tomasz enough for making our Iceland experience a lifetime family memory. I attached a few photos of the site. We had great weather so it was an added bonus.

5.00Amazing tour. The 5 of us thought it was one of the best tours we ever had anywhere in the world! Filip was an extraordinary guide. The natural sights are impossible to describe. The special stops made the day. Ice cream, tomota farm and restaurant, Icelandic horses,. The Hvamminsk Spa was the highlight of the day. Filip's willingness to please went above and beyond. We loved our day ❤️.

5.00Had the most amazing tour of Iceland. Tomasz had all the sights expertly planned, with reservation at a very unique and delicious tomato greenhouse for lunch. He picked us up right from the cruise ship and made sure we were comfortable in the car, with snacks and water. He even had a car seat ready to go for our daughter (we didn’t even ask, because she is almost old enough to go without, but was just a nice touch). We saw the most beautiful scenery and he took great pictures for us too. We learned a lot from him about Iceland culture, the nature and infrastructure and a bit of history too. Truly an unforgettable adventure.

5.00The group tour of Iceland with Tom was fantastic. A brilliantly created plan covering highlights of the southern part of the island completed in five days. A widely varied program that will appeal to both older and younger travelers. A capital approach to the youngest. You can see how much knowledge about Iceland Tomek has and how interestingly he conveys it. A true guide with a passion whom I can in good conscience recommend to anyone who wants to really get to know this beautiful place. 5/5

5.00Yesterday we returned from Iceland, where we were guided by Tomasz Kozimala. Tomek is an incredibly friendly, and heartfelt person. He advised us on what and in what weather conditions we could see, to marvel at the beauty of Iceland and feel safe, which is very important especially in winter. He has immense knowledge and is a professional in what he does. For him, guiding around this fascinating island is not just a job but a passion. It was a huge convenience that he drove us around in his car. I sincerely and warmly recommend Tomek as a guide, he is truly superb.
