Mutianyu Great Wall
Picked up between 7:00am to 13:00pm in your hotel lobby. Then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall directly. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. Cable car can take you up to the Great Wall, you can choose to enjoy the hiking to the peak or stay to enjoy the beautiful view. Cable down or toboggan down would be more fun. At the end, you will transferred back to your hotel

5.00We just spent an amazing day at the Great Wall. Our guide Sunny was wonderful and provided so much information not only about the site, but of China in general, which was great for us. She was with us every step of the way making sure our tickets and everything was ok. She took very nice photos of us and gave us free time to enjoy on our own. We didn’t choose the tour with lunch but she still suggested a place where we had great dumplings. Also, our driver was very professional and the car was super comfy. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

5.00All went great, our driver picked us up on time from our hotel lobby, took us to the wall and provided the necessary tickets. He dropped us off back to our hotel once we were done. Exactly as expected.

5.00Very wonderful experience! Very friendly and timely pickup and awesome experience! Easy ride to the Great Wall in a comfortable vehicle. We were not rushed. We had time to browse the shops. It was very cold but he gave us 2 options to view area and let us decide. We had free time after introductions to the section of the site and plenty of time to explore alone. Drop off was friendly and convenient. Jerry took us directly to a restaurant to have famous roast duck meal! He didn’t just point in the direction! Wow! Very impressive! Shout out to our driver for a safe and comfortable journey, too! Do this tour!

4.00We had a wonderful driver who was waiting for us in the lobby before the stipulated time (7am) as he had parked a little far since we were in a Hutong and he felt that the street was a bit too crowded and narrow for his car to safely come down but we were happy to have the short morning walk to the car, which had free water waiting for us. It was also a very premium comfy car. The drive took 1.5hrs so early and he sorted out our tickets and confirmed where he would wait for us and we connected on WeChat to keep in contact. We chose to only stay for 2/3hrs since it was a cold day and we didn't want to hike too much. There was more free water on the way back and a smooth drive. I would say the only hiccup was even though I booked in weeks in advance and connected with the tour office on WhatsApp - giving passport details etc - the office did not contact me again, so I had to contact them the day before and waited several hours till I got a reply since maybe they do not check the WhatsApp often. Plus when they got back to me I had to go through the process of informing them the booking number and which booking I made. It just felt a little less organised compared to other tours in china.

5.00We visited the Mutianyu Great Wall with a private tour and our English-speaking guide, Jerry. He spoke very good English and shared many interesting historical stories and cultural insights along the way. The explanations were clear, informative, and never boring — we learned a lot while having fun at the same time. The whole trip was smooth and well-organized, making the experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend Jerry as a tour guide for anyone visiting the Great Wall. He truly made the visit memorable.

5.00This Great Wall Tour was fantastic! We were picked up in a very safe, clean, comfortable vehicle and driven to our destination. Jeffrey was an excellent tour guide and very informative on all the areas of the Great Wall. He guided us to all the watchtowers we wanted to see. Absolutely spectacular day. Our tour was five hours by choice. We could have hiked a lot longer, but we’re quite happy with what we saw and did.
