Complimentary, Self-Guided tours are offered daily at the Fly Creek Cider Mill. For people who want a more detailed experience this is the tour for you! The tour is hosted by the Mill's owner, Bill Michaels, you will hear the family history of the Mill and how this small business has developed into one of Cooperstown, NY's most popular tourism attractions. Learn about how the Mill harnesses the power of water to operate its 1889 water-hydraulic cider press. Go behind the scenes to areas not open to the public to see how the Mill creates its many flavors. As a retailer Bill will share his knowledge and experience on how his family has turned this once closed mill into a profitable agribusiness.

Amazing day at Fly Creek Cider Mill! We had the personal tour with the owner Bill and it was AMAZING!! The staff was wonderful, the products were delicious, and touring the facility gave us a glimpse into the workings of the cider mill. Overall a great day, our staff had a wonderful time. Thank you!! The place is adorable. So much to do. Watch the apple press, feed the animals, shop in the store,eat amazing food, learn more about apples than I ever knew. If in the area it’s a must.

This was a great tour. So many neat pieces of information and little known facts. You can tell the owner really enjoys this and it shows in his tour of the Mill. Highly recommended

This tour is a must-do activity when visiting Fly Creek Cider Mill! Bill was a fantastic tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his business. The facilities were very clean and organized. Each employee that we encountered was friendly and mentioned to us how much they loved their job. Our family highly recommends this unique experience!

Bill was an excellent tour guide. We enjoyed the history behind the cider mill & everything behind it. The tasting room was great. The staff was great as was the food. We will definitely come back.

The owner’s passion for his business overflows throughout and is a real inspiration. Wonderful and informative moment. Trying to go when the old mill wheel is running would be even better. Includes a tasting session at the end and highly recommend the cider and the traditional hard cider.

Wonderful Tour with the owner This place has great history and there is much more to it than we imagined. Mr Michaels gave us a great tour and we got to see how the water runs the turbine and all the old leather straps drive the press. Who knew there so many apple varieties. Lots to do, very friendly. A must see when in the area!
Awesome! Best cider mill I have ever been to.

Our tour with the owner was fascinating, he took us through the complete process of cider pressing along with a tasting of their homemade fudge,cookies and pies. We ended in the tasting beverage room were a flight of some very tasty cider inspired spirits were available. A must try is their cider slushy and bloody Mary.

We always have a good time touring this place. This year with Covid, no samples like usual, but still a great place to visit for various food items and of course apples and cider

A Friday at Fly creek I have been coming here here for about twenty years . My family always enjoyed ducks to feed cute things for the children . Great snacks and samples for all inside the store and great seasonal things upstairs , well not anymore , now I understand during these times that the snacks had to go but the customer service at check out was very rude . We spent well over a hundred dollars on all the goodies . But that will be the last time there . We bought Carmel apples that were so disappointing they used to be my favorite. . I sure hope things pickup area favorite in the past.
