Reservation of service The traveler makes the reservation of the private transfer in Viator, indicating date, approximate departure time and exact pick-up place in Antigua Guatemala (hotel, Airbnb or central meeting point). Contact details (name, WhatsApp phone and email) and number of passengers are also entered. Confirmation and proof of booking The booking is confirmed and the traveller receives their voucher/voucher from Viator with full details of the transfer. This voucher specifies what the service includes, the pick-up point and basic instructions for the day of travel. Prior contact and schedule coordination Between 24 and 12 hours before the service, the team contacts the traveler by WhatsApp or mail to: Confirm booking and number of passengers. Check or adjust the exact time of departure from Antigua, according to customer preference and route conditions. Confirm the pick-up point and share any recommendations (baggage, comfortable clothes, snacks, etc.). Vehicle and pilot assignment An air-conditioned private vehicle is allocated according to the number of passengers and luggage. A professional pilot with experience on the route to Semuc Champey/Lanquin is appointed. In many cases, the driver’s name and/or vehicle plate is shared with the customer via WhatsApp for peace of mind. Pickup in Antigua Guatemala The pilot arrives promptly at the agreed meeting point in Antigua. Passenger name and reservation are verified. The pilot assists with baggage loading and briefly explains the estimated travel time and planned stops along the way. Ground transfer from Antigua to Semuc Champey / Lanquin The transfer is made by road in totally private service, without sharing the vehicle with other passengers. Along the way, one or more technical stops are made for bathing, snack shopping or stretching, according to the traveler’s need. The driver maintains safe driving and respects speed limits and road conditions. Upon request, an additional short stop can be made for light shopping or food (when route time permits). Arrival in Lanquin or Semuc Champey area Depending on the access of the accommodation, the pilot drops the traveler directly at his hotel/hostel in Lanquin or at the nearest point allowed for vehicles (in the case of accommodation with limited access). The pilot assists with baggage when arriving at the agreed endpoint. It is confirmed with the passenger that the service has concluded and that he is in the right place. Shutdown of service and after support Once the transfer is completed, the service is terminated. In case the traveller also has booked his return transfer or other service, details can be reconfirmed briefly. If any inconvenience or subsequent queries arise, the passenger can contact the same number used for pre-coordination.
