This tour will give you a full perspective of Sintra, it's history and the amazing landscape of the Natural Park.
By my experience, this is a unique opportunity to visit all these places, it will not be possible by yourselves.
I'll leave you in all the monuments, wait for you after each visit, take to the next visit and so on.
I don't impose a limit of time for the visit of each monument, it will depend on you.
There's no hurry in this tour, ending time doesn't exist. My goal is that, at the end, you're satisfied.

Palacio Nacional e Jardins de Queluz
This is the first monument to visit, it takes around 1:30h to visit. I'll be waiting for you for the next monument. The National Palace of Queluz, also known as Queluz Royal Palace, is a Portuguese royal residence, in the municipality of Sintra, which was built as such between 1747 and 1760 on the project of the architect Jean-Baptiste Robillon and at the behest of Prince Pietro (Pedro) III (1717-1786) husband of Queen Maria I (1734-1816) who transformed a pre-existing country residence. Called the "Versailles of Portugal", the palace was used above all as a place of entertainment for the royal family: concerts, bullfights and fireworks were held there, especially on the occasion of religious holidays or other events. Queen Maria I lived here for many years, but otherwise the palace was not very frequented by the royal family. It is still used for concerts and as a reception place for foreign heads of state, it also houses the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art. Ticket costs 10eur

5.00In a nutshell: incredible experience, well worth every penny. Antonio clearly loves his job and provides such an amazing day, tailored to the person / group. I'm so grateful I found him! The backstory: I'm a seasoned traveler. Did I need a guide to get to Sintra? Clearly not (I can use guidebooks and AI to help!) But friends had used Antonio on their trip and strongly recommended him. After trying to sort out transportation alone to Sintra and between the castles and more, I decided it was worth trying to use an expert to navigate things. And holy heck, was it the right choice! Antonio met me outside my hotel at 8:30 am, and from there we sped off to the first of... 6? 7? castles? (I was jetlagged.) What I loved about this experience is, sure, you'll get to see Pena Palace and any other big spot, but Antonio takes you to the hidden gems, gives you insight into the stories behind them, helps you skip the crowds and see what really matters in a quiet, personalized manner. We went from the first castle to grab coffee and a pastel de nata, along with a lunch to-go, and then we were off into the heart of Sintra. Throughout the course of the day, Antonio expertly guided me from sight to sight. There was hiking, climbing, all the history, and more. Because you're with someone who knows the area so well, it's a great way to maximize a single day and squeeze in SO much more than you can do on your own! To top it all off, we had our amazing picnic lunch in the sunshine, staring at a beautiful old home in a quiet park (truly — still dreaming of this lunch.) But maybe what I love the most is that Antonio will help you see everything AND avoid the crowds. For someone who's only got a day in Sintra, this is clutch. We wrapped our day with stops in Cascais, Cabo da Roca, and a secret abandoned monastery. It's a long day, but just incredible. And to top everything off: a few days later I messaged Antonio and he provided recommendations for Fado. This is clearly a man who loves his job, loves his city, and loves helping people love it even more! Antonio, thank you. I can't wait to return.

5.00Absolutely AMAZING experience. Not only was Antonio the most amazing tour guide I have ever had, he was such a sweet and patient person. He went out of his way soooo many times to make sure we felt good and we’re accommodated ! We got to pick the places we wanted to see and he was so informative and went in with us to every stop to make sure we got the best experience out of it. I wouldn’t usually take time to write a review but he was truly that incredible!

5.00My husband and I went on a private tour of Sintra with Antonio. He was wonderful. We saw a variety of sites, both historical and natural and he knew details about everything. My husband uses an electrical assist wheelchair and Antonio quickly learned what sites would be the best for us. Additionally he helped carry the chair over steps and curbs. Antonio was wonderful allowing us to set the pace. His goal is to have you exhausted and happy at the end of the day, and we were both. You won't be disappointed if you book with Antonio.

5.00"Our day trip to Sintra with Antonio was absolutely incredible and easily the highlight of our time in Portugal! From the moment he picked us up, Antonio’s passion for Portuguese history and culture was evident. He didn't just drive us from point to point; he told the story of Sintra in a way that made the palaces and misty landscapes come alive. He was a master at navigating the narrow, winding roads and knew exactly how to time our visits to avoid the heaviest crowds at Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. He knew took us to some of the less know and less touristy palaces, Biester Palace. We also walked the Moorish Castle, all of it. We finished with beautiful view of the coast line of Portugal. His recommendations for lunch were spot on—we grabbed local Portuguese sandwiches and ate while we explored. Antonio is professional, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. If you are looking for a seamless, insightful, and memorable way to see the magic of Sintra, do yourself a favor and book with him. We cannot recommend his services enough!"

5.00Antonio gave us an exceptional tour. He spent 11 hours driving us to castles, palaces, local food, and beautiful coastal scenery. We did a good amount of walking and castle stairs which made this experience very active in nature which we loved. Antonio knows where to go and what time so we had no lines or traffic. Some of the places we went, he purchased tickets ahead so we went right in. The coastal views were incredible. We never felt rushed and spent as much time as we wanted in each spot. He gave us a few choices along the way which was nice. We learned a lot about Lisbon and Sintra history. We highly recommend Antonio for anyone looking to have an experience with an exceptional guide.
