This tour will give you a full perspective of Sintra, it's history and the amazing landscape of the Natural Park.

By my experience, this is a unique opportunity to visit all these places, it will not be possible by yourselves.

I'll leave you in all the monuments, wait for you after each visit, take to the next visit and so on.

I don't impose a limit of time for the visit of each monument, it will depend on you.

There's no hurry in this tour, ending time doesn't exist. My goal is that, at the end, you're satisfied.

This is the first monument to visit, it takes around 1:30h to visit. I'll be waiting for you for the next monument. The National Palace of Queluz, also known as Queluz Royal Palace, is a Portuguese royal residence, in the municipality of Sintra, which was built as such between 1747 and 1760 on the project of the architect Jean-Baptiste Robillon and at the behest of Prince Pietro (Pedro) III (1717-1786) husband of Queen Maria I (1734-1816) who transformed a pre-existing country residence. Called the "Versailles of Portugal", the palace was used above all as a place of entertainment for the royal family: concerts, bullfights and fireworks were held there, especially on the occasion of religious holidays or other events. Queen Maria I lived here for many years, but otherwise the palace was not very frequented by the royal family. It is still used for concerts and as a reception place for foreign heads of state, it also houses the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art. Ticket costs 10eur

Private Unforgettable Full Day Tour – Sintra, Portugal We had an extraordinary experience on this tour. Our guide and driver, Antonio, arrived right on time, and thanks to his excellent planning we were able to visit many more places than we ever could have with any other tour. We started at the Palace of Queluz, and then visited Biester, a stunning, perfectly preserved palace that lies completely off the usual tourist routes. We walked through its beautiful gardens at our own pace, enjoying every moment. To break up the drive, Antonio took us to try some delicious traditional sweet breads from the region. We continued toward the Sintra forest, visiting the Moorish Castle, the lakes area, the National Palace of Sintra, and the charming chalet. We also explored the famous initiation well and the Regaleira Palace. Later, we headed to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe—an absolutely spectacular stop. On the way back, we passed through Cascais, where we had the chance to enjoy a bit of this beautiful coastal town before returning. A super complete tour, entirely at your own pace, with a guide who is kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this experience.

The day started with heavy rain, so after discussing it with António, we decided to begin at Queluz National Palace to wait it out. It turned out to be a great plan, and we were able to continue the rest of the day in sunshine. Our absolute favorite was the Moorish Castle – breathtaking views and beautifully preserved. António shared lots of interesting information about each place we visited, taught us Portuguese pronunciation rules, and was flexible with the timing at every stop. I can highly recommend booking a private tour with Window to Lisboa Van Tours and António if you want to visit Sintra and make the most of your day! Despite a late start due to the weather, we managed to see Queluz National Palace, try the traditional Sintra pastries, visit Biester Palace, the Moorish Castle, take a shorter walk in the Pena Palace park, explore the Initiation Well at Quinta da Regaleira, and even catch the sunset by the ocean!

Wonderful tour. A lot of walking but at the end of the day felt great. Saw four places and took a ton of pictures. Had a private tour.

We couldn’t have asked for a more comprehensive tour of Sintra. Antonio was not only knowledgeable, but kind, caring and generous. He tailored our tour to sites that made the most of beautiful outdoor spaces and luxurious castles and homes. What an incredible way to spend our last day in Portugal.

From Lisbon the friendly António accompanied us through Sintra for a full day. We are a family with two children (aged 8 and 10), they also enjoyed the whole day. António knew how to tell a lot as a local and he knew how to find the most beautiful places; we listened attentively all day and made the Dutch translation for our children. On our own we could never have experienced this like this. Highly recommended!
Extraordinary day with Antonio as our guide. Totally unforgettable!

We engaged Antonio as a guide for four of us for a day-long tour of Sintra and nearby coastal towns, including Cascais. He picked us up at our hotel and we began a day packed with activities and experiences that can only be classified as unforgettable. He was so knowledgeable of the area and its interesting features that we were riveted and active in ways that far exceeded our expectations. Antonio was wonderfully articulate, fun, prepared, responsive, flexible and energetic, and created an extra extraordinary day. His van was very comfortable and his rates were very reasonable. We wish we could stay longer in Lisbon to further engage him – he was a SUPERSTAR!!

Was one of the best tours we have done with Antonio providing exceptional service during the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and was flexible with what we wanted to see. He selected a very nice restaurant for us to go to dinner to sample authentic local food. Would highly recommend this tour with Antonio as your guide.

António was our guide for a week in Lisbon and Sintra. My wife and I were there for a wedding at the Penha Longa resort. He was very helpful from planning our visit and tours weeks before we even got there. He was very helpful in adjusting to our needs, even making sure a wheelchair was available if needed. He’s very easy to work with and accommodated some of our friends joining us in some tours. He’s very knowledgeable about his country and its history. He gave practical advice and tips, especially when visiting crowded or touristy areas, to make the best of our visit. He’s honest and respectable, and made our visit to Portugal, a very memorable and enriching one.
