We arrived late in BA due a missed connection. The Tour company agreed to delay our Palermo tour from 11 am to 1 pm. It was very nice of them. We were greeted by Fernando at sharp 1. We boarded the car and he took us for Lunch, that was an amazing affair. For the next 90 minutes we were introduced to local specialities. Unfortunately we did not take any photos and I do not remember the name of the cafe. After our first meal in Buenos Aires we were taken to Palermo Hollywood. Saw the TV station and studio. A lovely mural as the front facade of a club. Have included the Image. Then we went to the local Flea Market. Nice place but expensive. Not sure why Flea markets around the world are so expensive. From there we went to a happening new cafe of Buenos Aires "Anchoita". Fernando kept sharing interesting stories at each place giving context to the location or murals or the Cafe. Kept the tour interesting. Then we explored the Murals around a dump site converted to a Bio compost park. The Park was nice with lots lovely butterflies. The place has an interesting story about the Founder lady. Finally we explored the bylanes around Plaza Serano. Lots of Murals with a ton of history. Some good and some sad. Fernando introduced us to a Lady Painter drawing a commissioned Mural for a restuarant. We were jet lagged and tired but we had to have BA ice cream. The Argentinians love Ice cream and lots of it. We went to one of the popular shops had our choice and finally bid adios to Fernando. A very fulfiling first day in Argentina.
