Enjoy this spectacular private walk with your friends, and you'll experience a little bit of everything – bush, beaches, headlands and vineyards.

We start with a walk through restored and regenerating bush up to the headland for some breathtaking views of the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.

We continue through lush, established bush tracks and rolling hills, where you’ll enjoy lovely views of valleys, vineyards and the sea.

There’s time for wine tasting and/or lunch at two of Waiheke’s best-loved vineyards – Mudbrick Vineyard, Jurassic Ridge or Cable Bay Vineyards – with tasting options to suit all budgets.

This spectacular walk has a little bit of everything – bush, beach, headlands, and vineyards. Beginning with a walk through restored and regenerating bush up to the headland for some spectacular views of the islands of the Hauraki Gulf. We continue on through lush established bush tracks and through the rolling hills overlooking beautiful valley, vineyard and sea views where there is time available for wine tasting and/or lunch at two of Waiheke’s best loved vineyards - Mudbrick Vineyard, Jurassic Ridge or Cable Bay Vineyards – with tasting options to suit all budgets.

Fantastic experience. Our guide, Cindy, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the island, its history, flora and fauna and its culture and traditions. Cindy was very happy to adapt our tour to suit us and the weather conditions.
Justine accommodated our special needs and was helpful in every way

It was a well guided and fun one day tour of the Island…there were two couples and a private guide, Justine, who was amazing…we really enjoyed her and learned a lot about the island and New Zealand

We had a great day on the island! After the ferry ride over, we were met by our guide, Renee, who was fantastic. She led us on a very scenic walk along the coast followed by a wine tasting and picnic lunch. As a native New Zealander, Renee was able to provide us with good background on the Auckland area, as well!

Dell provided a well organized, informative,guided experience on the Bush walk and wine tastings. Along with a picnic lunch on a shady table on the way to the wine tastings. It is a fairly easy hike with spectacular view of the bay. Dell shared a lot of information about the environment, flora and fauna.

A beautiful tour with fantastic views in a suitable pace. The guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions. The wine tasting was also very nice and a great lunch

Cindy is truly an exceptional guide, making our experience with Terra and Tide absolutely memorable. Her deep expertise was evident immediately during our bush walk, where she explained the history and qualities of local plants with great patience and clarity. She was incredibly attuned to our comfort, adjusting the pace of the walk and thoughtfully choosing suitable paths for us, ensuring we felt unrushed and completely at ease throughout the day. Beyond her immediate guiding skills, Cindy demonstrated remarkable commitment to personalized service. We were particularly impressed when we mentioned our vegetarian diet mid-trip; she quickly and seamlessly sourced suitable meals at the vineyards, showing extraordinary adaptability and care. Great tour and we really liked our guide Justine. She is very knolegable, friendly and kind. The tour was a good mix of both the beach/water and the interior bush country.

This was our first full day in New Zealand. We had just arrived the evening before after a long trip from the eastern US, so we were very tired and jet lagged. We can't recommend this day trip from Auckland enough as a way to get started. Robyn was a wonderful guide. The views were fabulous and the wine tastings a lot of fun. Highly recommended and worth the price!
