We will make a guided tour of one family winery located in the Canelones region, where 70% of the Uruguayan wineries are located. We will be received by the owners of the winery, we will know the history of the family, the vineyards, the winery and the elaboration processes. We will taste your wines accompanied by a typical local lunch, prepared especially for you. We will pick you up at your hotel, port or the place you want and a private driver will take you to the winery and will be waiting for you throughout the day. At the end will take you back to the place where we have picked you up. If you come to Montevideo, you should not miss this fantastic experience!

Bodega Garzón with Wine Explorers - a must!

5.00We are so appreciative of the Wine Explorers Team, including Veronica and Emilia for organizing our fantastic trip to Bodega Garzón. Our driver was on-time, professional and friendly. The car was comfortable. The tour at Garzón was the perfect choice (as suggested with Veronica) and the subsequent 4-course lunch outstanding. We are very glad we trusted Wine Explorers with all the details and organization. Everything was perfect and with no worries. This is a "must" trip to complete when you visit Uruguay. We live here now, and would not mind doing it again! Thank you!

5.00Outstanding from start to finish! Veronica and her team at Wine Explorers took care of every detail. We were picked up in Montevideo and traveled to Punta Negra, to visit Las Espinas winery, a Bouza project. The tour was informative and very friendly. Then the tasting at the restaurant and 4 course lunch was amazing… Fabulous wines and descriptions and phenomenal gastronomy. This was a perfect trip and individual (3 people) experience that we very highly recommend. Certainly, book any Uruguay wine trip with Wine Explorers.

5.00We had a great time and Silvina was very friendly, informative and friendly. The two wineries were a good pairing. We had the owner/manager (son) at Carrau give our tasting and we enjoyed his history of the family. The Pizzano winery was a good lunch choice and the people were friendly yet it was less personal. Also, we were at the very end of the crush seadon, so we got to see that aspect. Unless you see the crush or the bottling line, there is not always much activity in a winery. We have never been at one where we had access to the vineyards when there was much activity there, so I can’t comment on how that would look. Our interest is usually on how the winery runs as a business, so meeting the owner/manager was great.

5.00This was a wonderful tour of two wineries - Pizzorno and Spinoglio. It was especially nice because we were there doing harvest and it was fun to see their actual process happening before our eyes. The tour and tasting at Pizzorno was more formal and Spinoglio included a tasting with full lunch. Both of the wineries have beautiful grounds. Veronica was very efficient and informative. Our driver, Mateo, was always in touch and he was right on time and we never felt rushed. Highly recommend!

5.00We highly recommend Wine Explorers. Veronica went above and beyond to help us when our flight was cancelled, causing us to arrive two days late. She helped us get everything sorted and rescheduled. The wine tours she arranged made for a fantastic day capped off by a great dinner at a local restaurant (La Otra) that she recommended and booked for us. Everything about our experience with Veronica and the team at Wine Explorers was fantastic.

5.00Veronica made our visit to Uruguay a really special holiday. Everything was first class! We originally planned to visit wineries for a day while we were In Montevideo. After brief correspondence with Veronica, she helped us plan our stay. Wine Explorers provided a driver to manage our transfers , arranged a private tour of Montevideo, and a wine tasting at Balbueno, a terrific speciality wine shop, and visits to two wineries with a lunch at the Deicas Winery. What a treat! We did nothing but enjoy our stay. Veronica is a great communicator and very insightful and did a great job getting us to things that we liked. It was really nice not to have to deal with schedules and visits that are etched in stone. Veronica has great expertise about the wineries of Uruguay and the country itself. Wine Explorers is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them.

5.00Really well organised trip to Sacromonte vineyard. Communication was excellent and everything was exactly as advertised. It’s a great way of seeing an interesting and really beautiful vineyard, tasting delicious wines, enjoying great food, and letting someone else do the driving. Also a really interesting group of people. There are regular tours. Looking forward to the next one.

We spent 3 weeks touring the country and Veronica coordinated 4 outstanding wine experiences for us. Additionally, she recommended other vineyards, restaurants and sights for us to visit.
