Our Lady of the Rocks

According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea.[4] The custom of throwing rocks into the sea is alive even nowadays. Every year on the sunset of July 22, an event called fašinada in the local dialect, when local residents take their boats and throw rocks into the sea, widening the surface of the island, takes place.

Perast

According to the presumptions of the archaeologists, the first settlements appeared in the area of Perast in the Neolithic; There are also monuments of the Illyrian, Roman and early Christian periods. The city was founded by the Illyrians, named after one of the local tribes—Pirusti. The first memories of Perast refer to 1336—at that time there was a small fishing village, which had a shipyard, and there were always several commercial and fishing boats in the harbor. But since the strategically important island of St. George, which belonged to Kotor, is in the immediate vicinity, the development of Perast was going very slowly.

    We were very interested into the sveti Stefan and wanted to go there. When being there; the skipper wanted to have more than double the price and wanted to take advantage of the situation of being on an island. It was horrendous and the skipper (Marko) became very suddenly unfriendly. This is not how you should treat guests. We were stuck on the island because we did not wanted that service. We found another way of commuting. Please do not take those scammers and take rides with generous and honores people

    Great experience, a must when in montenegro. 3hr tour is perfect and to see the best sights. Family run business, mother, daughter (jovana is amazing, and her brother who is a great boat driver.

    Amazing morning out on a private trip for 2 of us. We went at 8am so the sights were super quiet Loved swimming in the blue cave. Brilliant value for money.

    Montenegro is simply one of the most beautiful countries I could visit so far. The absolute highlight was my boat tour Sea Tours - Speed Boat Montenegro yesterday. The booking through the dear Jovana went smoothly. The tour went just under three hours and has led us to the most beautiful places. Since there were only 4 of us, the atmosphere was very familiar. We had enough time to see everything (Blue Lagoon, lady Rock, Marine Hölen, etc.). Our stops were embedded in a breathtaking mountain landscape. Back on land, Jovana personally checked if we liked everything. It was really worth every penny. Again and again our first choice. Greetings , Sophia & Sabrina from Germany

    It was amazing to see blue cave and other sightseeings with speed boat from Tivat, the skippers were very attentive and helpful 🙌 Montenegro coast from the boat looks wonderful.

    We had a fantastic trip. Beautiful boat, excellent skipper, very professional. The children loved the swimming spot near the Blue Cave.

    We had an awesome sunset tour! Highly recommended. The skipper took us along the bay to Perast, we saw the lady of the rocks and then proceeded to the best sunset views.

    Five stars for everything! Booking was really nice and easy with Branko - knows English and is really friendly. Skipper was also really cool guy - he sees when you make pictures and slows a bit. Had a chance to drive myself - awesome experience! I was so happy I went swimming with my money in the pocket! Happy as a child.
