• Shorter than planned, boring experience

  No wifi in the car, we had to ask him every time we went back to the car to reactivate the WiFi which didn’t work . Our guide (Wahid) spent the most of our time glorifying his king, how many palaces he owns in Rabat, how many hotels and so on. Another big matter was about his God and his benevolence, how every man must give tips to everybody (which is deeply against our Scandinavian culture) to gain God’s favor. He was concerned about his car being dirty and used every pause to clean it with some cleaning stuff (water and soap) he had in the car’s trunk. We asked to visit Rabat’s souk and was told there is no market/souk in Rabat (!!) so he drove us back to Casablanca to one of his friends’s shop, to show us a bunk of carpets down in a basement, which we refused. Then we went for a short walk around the Casablanca’s souk as he said it’s unsafe for tourists to walk in the souk. We have been in Marocco several times and never heard about that. End of story, he drove us back to our ship more than 2 hours earlier than planned (6-7 hours). We tipped him even if he didn’t deserve it, but would not recommend his services.

  There was an issue where my booking was not confirmed by the tour operator, but the guys at the port made me feel really cared for and made sure I got in the van! They were very nice and professional. I chose this tour because it went to Chelleh, and that was the highlight for me. Better than expected based on some other reviews. The Medina and Casbah were also lovely. Rabat is a cosmopolitan, clean, and friendly city. Overall I'd strongly recommend this tour company. If I were to offer a suggestion of how to improve the tour, I would refer to tip with card. Thank you for the lovely tour. Also, just a tip, if your phone is having trouble receiving data, you can go into settings, cellular, turn off "Automatically select network", and choose Orange instead of AIM. For whatever reason AIM refused to give me any data.

  The tour description does NOT state that we would not have a Tour Guide for the --3 out of 7 hours—the 1.5 hour drive to and from Casablanca to Rabat and back. I kept waiting for the Driver to give us an Introduction or at least explain what we were seeing for 1.5 hour drive from Casablanca to Rabat. He never did. When we arrived in Rabat, the Tour Guide appeared. For 3 hours—on the way from Rabat to Casablanca and from Rabat to Casablanca—I had many unanswered questions. But there was no Tour Guide to answer them! I was looking forward to having the Tour Guide answer my questions on the way to and from Rabat. I visited Rabat and Casablanca many years ago, and wondered about how things have changed. If your tour description had stated that there would be NO tour guide for 3 out of 7 hours, I would NOT have booked this tour. I would have found my way to Rabat, and used my location app to get information on the Rabat sites. I never received the promised video of instructions with the details of the vehicle that would meet me in Casablanca. In Casablanca, the agents did NOT have a sign with my name. The signs stated the name of the tour company—Premium Tours. When Viator describes a tour, that does not mean that you will have a tour guide! Hopeless!

  This was a great experience as it got us out of the hustle and bustle of Casablanca and into smaller areas. We saw a variety of historical things and some beautiful views. The driver of the car was excellent getting us through some tough traffic in Casablanca. He was courteous, helpful and kind.

• Excellent Excursion to Rabat

  We were picked up at the port in a comfy minivan with 6 seats facing each other, four of us sat in the back and one up front. We didn't know the other shipmates but had a great time with them. The driver did an excellent job transporting us to Rabat on the fast toll road freeway, althoug he didn't tell us anything about Casablanca or the countryside en route, perhaps due to language, or drive by the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca that was on the itinerary. But that's okay, once we got to Rabat we were introduced to Mohammed, a fantastic personable knowledgeable, patient guide, who joined us in the minivan for our time there. We toured the features noted in the itinerary, the highlight being Chellah (~7€ admission, well worth it), while the Royal Palace was the least exciting, though we did get to learn about the monarchy there. We also especially liked touring the Kasbah, where Mohammad explained the differences between the ancient Jewish and Arab houses, and we had a break for delicious Moroccan mint tea and pastries. At the end we were left with 1.25 hours free time to walk through Rabat's beautiful interesting Medina where Mohammad had recommended a restaurant where we could find authentic Moroccan food (Dar El Medina) and it was delicious. The ride back went smoothly and we were dropped off at the port in plenty of time. Rabat is a beautiful city and seemed a lot cleaner and safer than Casablanca. It was a great day, exceeding our expectations.
