If you’re thinking, “Zipline tour? Been there, done that,” maybe you just need to up the ante. This thrilling zipline tour in Tongass National Forest will have you flying through an Alaskan rainforest canopy at heights up to 135 feet (41 meters) above ground. Across several thousand feet of cables you’ll have unique vantage points to look for bears feeding on salmon and watch bald eagles soar through the sky. This exciting experience from Ketchikan is limited to nine people per group so you can enjoy personalized attention from your guides.

Imagine yourself gliding through the top of a rich rainforest canopy along a series of eight zip lines a suspension bridges and rappel feature.. You’ll be zipping along the border of the magnificent Tongass National Forest, suspended among spruce, hemlock and cedar trees. Stop by the General Store along with explore the totem park, historic sawmill, blacksmith shop and save time for a cold brew or hot coffee! WHAT TO WEAR: Closed toed shoes are required. Long pants, rain jacket, and layered clothes are recommended. PLEASE NOTE: You must weigh between 70 and 250 pounds. Height requirement: 57 inches. Minors must be accompanied an adult. Participants who do not have full use of limbs, suffer from neck or back issues, have mobility limitations, women who may be pregnant, or those with seizures and similar disorders should obtain medical advice and release from their physician prior to participating. In addition, please contact our staff 48 hours before your arrival, if you’ll need any special accommodation to safely enjoy this experience. A signed waiver will be required.

On my Alaskan cruise, I took a Zipline excursion with Kawanti Adventures in Ketchikan. The experience was amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I am very afraid of heights, but at no time did I not feel safe. The crew helped us with our gear and made sure everything was fitted properly and we knew exactly what to expect. Hannah and Stevie were absolutely wonderful. They helped and encouraged me every step of the way. When I had difficulty, they talked me through what to do and made me feel safe as they guided me in. Everyone made what I thought was going to be a very scary experience exciting and enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in giving it a try. It is well worth it.

What an amazing experience! From the views, to the knowledgeable and friendly tour guides everything was perfect. Hannah and Nora were the best! They eased my fears and were so helpful. We even saw bears twice during tour. I would definitely recommend this tour and would for sure do it again!
Phenomenal guides and long zipping lines! Great spot for bear sightings!!

This was super fun! Hailie and Hannah were so much fun today, zip lining in cloudy and slight rain was perfect. We were provided rain gear and safety speeches were clear. They helped us feel comfortable and safe and they didn’t drop me so it was good. Went with the fam while they were in town and they loved it!

Amazing zip line! Our guides were amazing! Very professional, safety first, and funny to boot! Fun to be in the trees a few of which were gently swaying in the wind.

It was a great experience. I love zipling, and this exceeded my expectations. Everyone was professional and we felt completely safe. I would recommend this experience. How cool to zipline over a bear sanctuary.
