Firstly, we want to make it clear that our rating and feedback are not a reflection on the driver or the company we booked through. Our driver, Ishak Khan, was outstanding — punctual, kind, and consistently went out of his way to make our trip more comfortable. Some examples that stood out: Ishak pulled over to shield our windows from the sun with fabric, moved our water bottles into an esky to keep them cold during our safari, and even stepped in to help us communicate when there was a language barrier at a restaurant. Ishak is genuinely the best tour driver we’ve had across our many travels in India. He is a wonderful, kind family man, and we wish him and his family all the best. Unfortunately, the tiger safari experience itself did not meet our expectations, which is why we cannot recommend this tour. While we fully understand that tiger sightings are never guaranteed in a national park, the poor organization and behavior we witnessed made the experience uncomfortable: • After passport checks at the gate, four local men abruptly boarded our already-full canter. We’re unsure if they were connected to the driver or had valid tickets, but their behavior — loudly moving around, creating seat confusion, eating, — made all the foreign travelers uneasy. • During the first tiger sighting, one of these men littered by throwing a plastic bottle out of the canter. Despite a mild warning from the guide, they continued to rip up paper and litter around the truck. This showed a clear lack of respect for the park and its wildlife, especially when all visitors are repeatedly asked to protect the environment. • Although the guide began with a brief English introduction, he mainly switched to Hindi after, likely due to the disruptive passengers. As a result, we received no ongoing commentary or explanations about the park or the animals, unlike other canters carrying mostly international guests. Beyond the behavior of the passengers, we want to highlight that the journey to Ranthambore is extremely demanding: • It’s nearly 4 hours each way from Jaipur through chaotic traffic, • Followed by 3 hours sitting in an open canter exposed to the intense sun, heat, dust, and pollution. • Altogether, the physical toll combined with the low chance of a tiger sighting made it a tiring and unhealthy day for us. While we are glad to have learned about tiger conservation efforts, we met several other travelers who warned us (too late) that Ranthambore often leads to disappointment. If you still decide to go, here are some strong recommendations: • Bring a wide-brim UV-protective hat and sunglasses — the sun is brutal inside the park. • Carry plenty of water — at least two bottles per person. • Bring a face mask or scarf — the road into the park is extremely dusty and polluted. • If possible, book a private Jeep tour instead of a canter. Jeeps seemed to get better access and visibility for wildlife sightings. The canters are uncomfortable, with dirty, sweaty seating, and passengers standing up block the view for others. In summary: We are truly grateful to Ishak for his care and professionalism. However, due to the overall disorganization, disruptive behavior by some passengers, and the exhausting nature of the trip, we cannot recommend this tour to others — even if you are fortunate enough to glimpse a tiger.

The traffic jam to get back from the temple was beyond crazy and left us only 20 minutes to order and eat lunch - which was nearly impossible. We then got sent 2 fake passports, that we had to use to get in the park. Even though we had sent all of our own information beforehand - including passports! That made us very uncomfortable but non the less we got into the park. Then we got told that we were going to zone 6 by other passengers (which is further away than the closest zones) even though we got promised zone 1-5 when we booked the tour. The guide then told us that there is about 70 tigers in the park but only 2 live in zone 6. The zone is big... Which also meant that we probably weren't going to see much, which we didn't. We saw some deer and a few peacocks but the views of the park were nice at least. We then got told that the majority of the tigers are in zone 2-3, and to get in those zones you have to book months in advance. We would have liked to have known that, since it's quite a long drive from Jaipur to not have much of a chance to see anything. We were very disappointed. On the upside we had a very nice and friendly driver.

The overall experience was excellent. Our Driver, Ishak Khan, was fantastic and helped us a lot. Unfortunately, we didn't see a tiger, but still had a fantastic ride to and fro from Jaipur. The Ranthambore fort is pretty amazing but an excruciating climb in 92 F heat. A word of caution, our safari guides had permission to enter Zone 10. I believe Zones 1 - 6, have better chance to see a tiger. Also, the cantar shakes a lot on the dirt roads of the park and its literally a bone and back buster, so if you have any back or hip issues, please use caution. Perhaps a Jeep is better.

From pick up with excellent driver the trip was worthwhile. The drive itself was relaxing and driver careful and competent. The visit to the fort was good, but the tiger reserve excelled. This may be due to seeing tigers up close. Amazing sight, alongside monkeys, deer, antelopes and peacocks. I think we were fortunate to see the tigers as the morning tour did not experience this great observation. Tour guide on jeep humorous and engaging. Overall trip was exceptional.
