  This was an amazing experience!! We knew nothing about gymnastics or trapeze before the class, but the instructors were amazing and taught us enough to do a full trick in only two hours! Safety was definitely important to them as well! This was a great, once-in-a-lifetime (unless you live in town) experience, perfect for all ages! Definitely a must-do, even if you only have a day or two in Santa Barbara!

  Excellent and professional staff. Found a new hobby. TripAdvisor messed up and had us scheduled at 1:30, the same time when a day-camp for kids was scheduled. Chris and Shane nevertheless went out of their way to honor their commitment and stayed after to give us a private lesson. 10/10, these are great guys that love what they do and it shows. Cannot recommend highly enough.

  We had a wonderful time at Santa Barbara Trapeze Company with our kids, aged nine and five. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Each instructor was supportive and patient, ensuring our safety and boosting our confidence as we learned to fly on the trapeze. To our surprise, we were all performing trapeze tricks by the end of our session, which was a huge thrill for the whole family. I never would have imagined we would be hanging upside down and our five year old would not just do it but love it. The kids haven’t stopped talking about it! I highly recommend this unique and exciting activity for families. It’s a great way to have fun, gain confidence, and try something new together. We can’t wait to go back!

  For context, I’m in my early 40s, athletic (e.g. spinner, street biker, hiker, etc.) but lack any background postured in gymnastics. Oh, and I have a nasty fear of heights. I had no idea what to expect when I signed up for this class on a whim while in town visiting. As a result of the thoughtful and knowledgeable instruction from the staff, I was able to fly about 6 or 7 times, ultimately, learning how to swing from the platform, hook my legs on the bar, let go of my hands (yes, while still hanging by my legs), and reach out to one of the instructors (shout out to Eric!) who then gripped my wrists as I released my legs from the bar allowing me to fly in a way I certainly did not think was possible! I highly recommend trying the trapeze, I felt safe—the equipment and instructors are very knowledge—and I had a freaking blast! If I can do it, you can do it! Just don’t look down before grabbing the bar…chin up, back arched forward, and eyes to the skies so you don’t psych yourself out! Hands down awesome experience!

  Had the time of our lives! Never going to forget the time spent learning how to fly on the trapeze for the rest of my life!…it’s just one of those moments in life you’ll never forget. The staff is friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable & super positive…cheering after each attempt we made. In the end, we were able to swing from one trapeze bar to another person on another trapeze bar…never in my life would I imagine that would be me. Kids can’t wait to return, we’ll bring more next time. Highly recommend this to anyone willing to give it a try.
