Amsterdam is known throughout the world for its tolerance and freedom and is a pioneer city in legislation of both prostitution and so-called soft drugs. But do you really know what is allowed and what is not? Do you want to know how the famous Red Light District works?
Through this walking tour of some of the oldest streets in the Dutch capital, you will discover all the secrets of the Amsterdam’s nightlife.
The access to the district is limited and it is not possible to take a guided tour inside, so on this tour an expert guide will tell you its history, its operation and will give all the keys so that you can discover its corners more hidden on your own.
In this area of the city we will see the highest concentration of Coffee Shops, where the use of marijuana is allowed and also Smart Shops, shops where you can buy legal drugs such as magic mushrooms.

5.00We arrived for this tour in the agreed location just opposite Central Staation, on time and waited with the others. After a short while we noticed that we were the only UK people there and the 3 other groups, were Spanish and Italian. My wife and I had some reservations... we were approached by our tour guide Bea who informed us that she would be our guide and that we would be the only couple having the tour in English. It felt slightly strange to begin with however, this did not last! Bea was so friendly and kind, with a lovely personality. She talked us through so much and her knowledge and understanding on Amsterdam was impeccable. We walked for 2 hours and despite the horrible weather, time flew by. Bea explained about the whole history of the city and the red light district. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. If there is one trip to do when you are in Amsterdam, this should be it. Would recommend it 100% and felt it was definitely worth the money.

5.00We had an amazing tour with Raphael. It ended up being a small group as some people were unable to come along, but he used this as an opportunity to give us even more detail. There were so many interesting facts and it is so much more than just see the red light district, you learn a lot about Amsterdam! Highly reccomend!

5.00The excursion was very fun and Irene "the Galician" the best, the time did not accompany too much but made it very pleasant and relaxed, a different experience and with our companion Mari a very special and charming woman. Bike itineraries would be great fun. Thanks.
