  It was a very interesting experience, got to learn about the Sami people, their work, origin and daily life. It was nice getting together around the fire inside the Lavuu to hear the stories and have a good time with our hosts. The reindeer feeding was great, and a unique experience. They had coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies in between activities to keep you warm. I didnt like the food ( vegan stew, too spicy for me) that much but Im a picky eater.

  We went late March, feed the reindeer which was a great experience. The 3 course dinner was basic, salmon salad, reindeer stew and chocolate cake. Hot drinks (unlimited) were provided. The food was okay but not great. The best part of the tour experience was hearing about the North Sami culture back at the main hut (teepee). This was enjoyable.

  The overall trip is about four hours long. You spend one hour feeding the reindeer - which is very interesting! Then, an hour eating what feels like an uninspiring mass-produced meal, and then another hour listening to a disappointing presentation about Sami. The fourth hour is spent traveling to and from the camp. Overall, it's a lot of time and money to feed a reindeer.

  Was a fantastic experience for our family (9&12yo). Good mix …feeding reindeer, local cuisine, and info on Sami people. Really enjoyed it!

  Apart from some delays in transport, the actual time spent at the Sami Reindeer Camp was just fantastic. Even though a full coach of you take part - because the heard of Reindeer is 300+ when you come to spending time and feeding them it is easy to find some personal space - although once you’ve started feeding them you won’t be left alone! Great food (although not huge portions) but the quality made up for it. The talk around the Sàmi culture was also friendly, fun and informative Would definitely recommend

  It was such a pleasure to see and feed the reindeer, learn more about the Sami people, and eat a yummy dinner. Unfortunately the weather was not great for us, so no aurora was visible, but our guide, Inga, helped us make the most out of our time at the camp. We enjoyed hearing Inga’s personal stories of her own and her families experiences as Sami people, though it was sad to hear of the diminishing population. It was especially fun to hear traditional Sami joiks and to join in on them as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience that we won’t forget! 🦌❄️

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Tourist, but pleasant and interesting

  40 minutes by bus along a beautiful road beside the fjord. Pleasant to look at the landscape and architecture. Bus in order and clean. Once we arrived we made a brief and went to feed the reindeer for about an hour and a half. You can always come in and get a hot drink you want. We then had dinner in a beautiful typical wooden building with a nice lit bonfire in the center. Excellent dinner in order to taste the typical tastes. After dinner, we spent half an hour hearing stories and explanations about Sami life. All in English. Interesting and fun

  Our evening at the reindeer camp was a memorable look into Sami culture. Our hosts were very gracious and informative, sharing stories and traditional joik songs that made the evening very interesting. We really enjoyed the opportunity to feed the reindeer; they are friendly and it was a unique way to start the night. The food provided was a good introduction to local flavors. We were served a smoked salmon salad, followed by Bidos (a traditional reindeer stew), and finished with chocolate cake and hot drinks. It was a nice way to experience traditional customs in a cozy setting by the fire. However, the transportation was unorganized. The pickup was confusing as we couldn't locate the "blue jacket" guides inside the terminal until well after the 5:40 PM designated time. Additionally, the bus for the return trip was quite late picking us up from the camp. If the logistics were more organized, this would easily be a five-star experience.
