With our selection of local foodie treats you can check off a lot of things on your Icelandic food bucket list and you sure won't be disappointed with the quality of the restaurants we handpicked. The only "bad" thing on this tour is the fermented shark but hey, its an adventure and what does not kill you makes you stronger and cooler back home.

One of the best things about doing a food tour is getting a sense of the history of the country while eating something delicious & interesting. All of our guides are experts and graduates from the tour guide school of Iceland but more importantly, they know how to entertain and educate at the same time.

Our stops are handpicked and offer traditional Icelandic food and ending at our last stop you are served a drink of choice!

We start off down by the old Reykjavik harbor with a great appetizer: An Icelandic shellfish soup. You really should try out Icelandic seafood while in Iceland.

Our tour guide was fabulous and we enjoyed hearing stories of his family and the history of Iceland. Was disappointed in the restaurant selections and all but one food selection. We thought it would take us to “off the path” restaurants rather than main stream ones.

It started out I was the only once scheduled for my tour, they were very accommodating leaving the tour open to book until morning of because I wouldn’t not be able to reschedule to another time. Luckily 4 other people booked! Our tour Guide Bo was awesome very informative of Icelandic culture and the process of how the food is prepared! Had an amazing time and got to try some amazing food!
Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

We came with a family group whose ages ranged from 2 to 72 and a great time was had by all. Our guide, Bjorn, was knowledgeable and fun and happy to answer a multitude of questions over geology, Icelandic literature, pop music tastes, politics, history, you name it! He was also calm and flexible, for example when we showed up with 2 more people than planned, or when he changed the itinerary to adopt to our slowness. It’s also an extremely good value: Iceland is not cheap and 7 dishes + a drink and some fermented shark would definitely cost at least 200 dollars had we bought them separately. Highly recommended and kudos to Bjorn.

Our small group of seven comprising all ages ,were treated to many local delights , each accompanied by a tale. Paul the retired fisherman guide was down to earth, very knowledgable about local foods and the locals . It was a treat to be part of.

We had great food and a lot of insights about Icelandic culture and cuisine, and between fish soups, a tartare of lamb, and Icelandic hotdogs, we also got to try the fermented shark!! 🌈👀✨ 12/10 for managing to take a pic of my face during the shark tasting 😂 Highly recommended, and anyone booking this tour, I really hope you get to try the lobster soup ✨🙏🏻

Paul was very engaging and enthusiastic guide who provided lots of interesting facts about each of the dishes in which we indulged. I even had the opportunity to sample fermented shark, though it’s not for the faint of heart, but when in Iceland… I would highly recommend this food tour!
