The Reykjavik Street Food Walking tour offered by CityWalk (local fam. company) is a unique experience in town. Its a smaller group tour than any other food tour and the restaurants are carefully selected as well as the guides. Together this combination beats all other activities in the city.
The company goes back to 2014 and many of the guides are full time ever since which is unheard of in Iceland. Together we have assembled for you a great variety of food to try whilst walking through the town. We will take you by the major landmarks of the city whilst narrating history, architecture and local tidbits. This mouthwatering experience will leave you in a food coma afterwards!

5.00Marteinn was a fantastic local tour guide who knows the city so well! The value of the tour was excellent as we hit every major food recommendation you can find for Reykjavik! With just two of us it was less than 3 hours, but well worth the time all the same! If you want to experience the best of Iceland's food culture, this is the place to get started!

5.00Stevie did a great job! He explained the dishes and the history around us in great detail. The food was amazing and provided a nice insight into Icelandic food and tradition. A must if you aren't familiar with the county.

5.00A must walking food tour! Small Group - 3. Wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. Pace was moderate. Varied selection of Icelandic food. Icelandic hot dogs, lamb soup, and ryebread ice cream along with other tastes of Iceland are not to be missed.

5.00Great experience. An amazing way to see and learn about the whole city and learn about traditional foods. Our tour guide Martin was incredible! We even got to take a picture with the prime minister of Iceland!!

5.00We had a fantastic food walking tour of Reykjavik and couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Martin. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared so much useful information about both Reykjavik and Iceland that really brought the city to life. The tour started at the Harbour House and took us through the heart of the city, finishing at the Hallgrimskirkja church. Along the way, we enjoyed an amazing variety of local food experiences: tasting the infamous Icelandic hot dogs, delicious lobster soup, visiting a bakery for rhubarb crumble, sampling liquorice chocolate treats, lamb soup, and experiencing two fantastic dishes at a fish restaurant. The tour ended on a high note at Café Loki, where we tried rye bread ice cream—surprisingly delicious! The whole afternoon was relaxed, fun, and incredibly informative. As a bonus, we even happened to meet the Minister for Industry, Hanna Katrin, during our walk. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and a great way to explore Reykjavik through its history and food. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

5.00The street food walking tour was great! We heard about the history of the city. We walked a bit through the streets, though nothing strenuous. The food was all unique and I felt like it gave us a taste of Iceland. This tour was also one of the most affordable options!

5.00This tour was everything you need to learn about country, people and culture while getting a lay of the land. Martin, our guide, took us on a feast walk where we enjoyed many local favorites and more! The walking was very doable and allowed brief opportunities to digest before the next stop. Along our walk we learned about the countries origins, stories, language and important facts. A must do tour for sure.

5.00Quite a fun and delicious tour. There's both streetfood (outdoor) and indoor restaurant, so ai wouldn't worry about bad weather. The pace is easy and the meals were plenty. I would have liked more information on where we were visiting, the city etc., but as part of our group had done the free tour in the morning with the same guide, I understand it would've been repetitive for them.
