If you want to visit the Westman Islands, we give you the unique opportunity of transporting you directly from Reykjavik to Landeyjahöfn (the harbour on the south coast of Iceland), where you can take a ferry to the Westman Islands.

You can spend there as much time as you want, enjoying freedom.

On the island you can use Hop ON OFF bus service. If will give you even more time and flexibility. Hop ON OFF service is provided everyday between 11.45 to 17.45.

If you decide to come back to Reykjavik the same day or any other day, we will be happy to see you again, providing direct transportation from Landeyjahöfn to Reykjavik. Visiting the Westman Islands on your own has never been so easy!

After the pick-up in Reykjavik, we will take you on a 2-hour journey to the harbor in Landeyjahöfn. From there, you can take the ferry to the Westman Islands. Please note that you need to book your ferry ticket yourself. We recommend that you book your ferry ticket and bus ticket at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure. In case one of those tickets is unavailable, you can cancel your tickets for free if the cancellation is made 24 hours before the departure.

This two-hour ride from Mjodd bus station to the ferry port at Landeyjahofn was smooth and comfortable. All stops were clearly announced. It was on time.

Fantastic bus connector service. Our bus was clean, the driver got us to the ferry terminal on time and we really enjoyed our trip with this operator. We hope others take advantage of this connector service as once your on the island you can use the hop-on/hop-off bus or taxis to go around in your own time without having to stick to a tour guide group.
This was the highlight of our honeymoon to Iceland!

We was so grateful to Magic Iceland Travel. Our previous tour operator dropped out (not Magic Iceland Travel) and we really wanted to go to the Westman Islands. Thankfully Magic Iceland Travel picked us up from our hotel and got us to the terminal on time, not only that they even took us to a little waterfall before the trip which was the cherry on top of a fantastic trip. The office is very fast to respond to email queries and we was very happy to use this service and hope others do in the future! If you’re looking to go to the Westman Islands without having to worry about a tour guide do it! We found taxis and the hop-on bus was even better than going via a tour bus and using the transfer service by Magic Iceland Travel made this all possible. We saw Puffins, We saw Whales, We hiked up a volcano all in ONE day! It’s worth it! If you’re on the fence do it!

I did a return coach trip from my hotel in Reykjavík to the ferry port at Landeyjahöfn on the south coast (to then take the ferry over to Heimaey in Vestmannaeyjar). You buy your return ferry ticket on top, as you’d expect. It’s not much. The Magic Iceland Travel transfer bus was a modern Mercedes executive 16-seater. All mod-cons, like wifi, USB power sockets, suuuper comfy seats. Our driver was a nice young guy called Janek. He was calm, friendly and professional. We got to the ferry port way ahead of schedule. And on the return to Reykjavík too. So happy. Drop off (& pick up) from my hotel was a godsend. No messing around with transferring at the BSI bus interchange in suburban Reykjavík. This was just door-to-door. So comfy, definitely with the couple of extra kronur / GBP to have this exec service (& save myself about 2 hours on the return time on a series of public buses!). Cheers, team!

I had a great experience. I arrived at the port before the trip to Vestmannaeyjar. It was great talking to the driver Janek about life and tourism in Iceland. The journey was efficient and safe, departure on time.

Transfer was very fast - less than 2 hours and comfortable. Pick up was on time, driver was a nice guy, everything was ok!!
