• Extreme River Tubing in Boquete Panama

  When we arrived to our Airbnb, I told the host we were tubing the river and he looked at us with wide eyes and said “extreme!” We have floated many rivers in tubes (some even with helmets, like pictured) so we laughed at the extreme part. When we arrived to the input point, we were a bit startled to see the full body protection of knee, elbow, shin and head padding. Definitely glad for it though as the water was fast and rough and rocky. We were told we could leave personal belongings in the car (change of clothes) but there was no lock box or anything if you bring anything that needs protecting. Wish we had a dry bag with us as we were told by others to always keep passports on us at all times. And as for cameras, I barely had time to take my own pics as I was holding on tight, but the guides sent us some, which was awesome. We rock scrambled to both get in and out of the river. Do have good shoes to wear. The guides were amazing! They put everyone’s safety as top priority. A few people did flip, but everyone was all in one piece at the end. There was construction with digging equipment happening at one point so that was a bit unexpected as well. The guides held on to several tubers but some went solo. I preferred the solo parts but there was really no way to control your tube in the river besides jumping out in very fast water. Holding onto another tube can be very painful on your shoulders so beware. Thank goodness for the headgear as I did get knocked into several branches hard and I felt very protected on my head. My shoulders got a bit scraped up but nothing bad. There were drinks and snacks at the end and the guides did all the prep and clean up. All in all I had a great time, though definitely scary at parts, it just was not quite the a bit more chill floating I expected. Hope this helps you know what you are signing up for. I’m sure this changes based on water flow and time of year. Couldn’t say enough nice things about the company though- wonderful people!!!!

  Was very funny and full of adrenalin! Our guides (Roland and Jean Carlos) made sure we are safe all the time! The ride is only for Adventure fans.

  It is an amazing experience, you should definitely follow the instructions of the guides to avoid injuries. But if you are an active person, who likes adrenaline this you should do.

  The guides are all super professional and fun! This is a definitive must-do and we are gonna do it way more times over again. So much fun and beautiful views along the river. Wear sneakers and bring dry clothes to change into after.

  The river tubing was a wild ride - nonstop action and very exciting. Rolando, Gabriel and Allan made sure we were safe and took excellent care of us. I highly recommend using this excellent company.

  This tour is not for the faint of heart!! We went in thinking it was a relaxing day floating on the rio… but it was more like white water rafting in tubes! The guides were amazing & so much fun and kept us super safe & pointed out some really cool places and things!

  The tubing was more of an adventure than I thought it would be but I highly recommend! The guides were all great, especially my guide Jose who was so good to me. He ensured that I had a fun time and really worked to get me through the rapids etc. Jose was amazing! We had a long ride down the river followed by sandwiches, muffins, and wonderful fresh fruit. If you’re looking for an adventure in Boquete, this is for you.

  Was expecting a leisurely float down a river, but was surprised and pleased to learn it would be much intense white water tubing. We had great guides who got us safely down the river. They also provided (for free) great videos and photos of each of us at different parts along our whitewater journey. Kudos too for the nice picnic buffet brunch at the end. I highly recommend this adventure to those up for it.
