This is an excellent experience! If you can, try to get the tour guide Saley. Wow! He’s a gem. I learned so much about Hawai’i on his tour.

The tour guide “Sale” from Tonga, was funny and entertaining. The experience is unique and not for the faint of heart. The views of the cliffs and the waterfalls were incredible.

Our tour guide “Sal” (Salesi) was fabulous at making this a memorable day— from stopping for the warm banana bread, pizza for lunch in a lush garden venue to sneaking a peak at the lounging turtles at the end. Plenty of breaks, local merchant stops, photo ops and leg stretching ops along the way. Loved it!

Salesi really made Road to Hana spectacular. His knowledge of the history of the land, his funny stories, his quick stops for amazing pictures and his final surprise of a beach filled with beach turtles, the day could not have been any better. It was a very long day, but Salesi did his best to make it a truly enjoyable one. My only issue was the description said the trip would have 6-8 people but there was 22.
