Piazza del Popolo
The building was originally called Porta Flaminia, but it is now officially known as Porta del Popolo. Pope Pius IV commissioned the famous artist Michelangelo to design it in 1562. However, Michelangelo delegated the task to the architect Nanni di Baccio Bigio who completed the construction in three years, and it was finished in 1565.
Spanish Steps
Dating back to 1723, the Spanish Steps are a series of steps that ascend a steep slope connecting the Piazza di Spagna at the base of the hill to the Piazza Trinità dei Monti at the summit. Even today, the Spanish Steps remain a popular attraction for artists, painters, and poets, just as they were in the past.

5.00We had a great walking tour from Piazza del Popolo to Navona Square! My friends and I booked directly with them, and everything was smooth from start to finish. The guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared so many interesting stories that really brought Rome to life. The route was beautiful and well planned, with plenty of time to enjoy the sights and ask questions. Highly recommended if you want a relaxed, informative walk through the heart of the city with people who clearly love what they do.

5.00This walking tour was very well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. We met the guide at Piazza del Popolo, where we received a clear and engaging introduction, followed by enough time to take photos without feeling rushed. We then continued to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the exterior of the Pantheon, with explanations at each stop and well-managed time for photos. The guide, Islem, was excellent: clear in his explanations, friendly, and always attentive to the group. He managed the timing perfectly, adapting the pace to everyone and taking into account the needs of the whole group. The tour ended at Piazza Navona, where Islem shared final insights and gave us time to enjoy the square. We were also offered gelato, which was a very nice and unexpected touch, and he gave us great recommendations on where to eat nearby. Overall, the communication from the guide was excellent, the explanations were interesting and easy to follow, and the time management was spot on. Thanks to Islem, the experience felt relaxed, well balanced, and genuinely enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome.
