  We did the Northern Lights bus tour with Arctic GM in Rovaniemi and it was a wonderful experience. They took us out on a comfortable bus, we waited at a great viewing spot and were lucky to see the Northern Lights clearly. The team also served yummy muffins and hot berry juice, which was a nice touch in the cold weather. They took our photos with a professional camera, and it was great to have those memories captured. Overall, a very nice and well-organized tour — we enjoyed every bit of it! Special thanks to our amazing guides Neil and Adam for their friendly vibe, support and effort to make the tour extra special. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  It was a truly memorable experience! I was not optimistic at all before the tour as it had been rainy in Rovaniemi. Arctic GM went above and beyond and drove us to Sweden to be able to see northern lights! Luc drove us to a few spots, and when we finally see it, he was very patient and enthusiastic with taking photos for all of us at the tour! Thank you Luc and Arctic GM!

  What an incredible experience it was! We began our journey in Rovaniemi, and with the weather forecast predicting cloudy skies all night, I had little hope. However, our guide drove for about two and a half hours, seeking the ideal location beyond the Swedish border, where we were greeted by a stunning clear sky—perfect timing to witness the northern lights. The warm tea and muffins, paired with our guide's insightful explanations about the northern lights phenomenon, made this adventure even more magical than I could have imagined. Thank you once again for this unforgettable experience!

  It was very relaxing. We saw the northern lights and professional photos were taken!!! We ended up in Sweden from Rovaniemi, Finland since it was cloudy in Finland. They will do their utmost best to let you have an amazing experience! Highly recommend.

  We assume that seeing a natural phenomenon like this is lucky but with their professionalism we could see it 100%, a dancing show for more than an hour over our heads. What a magical experience.   Activity carried out on the evening of 24.11.2025 I had an absolutely wonderful time at this activity. Antonio, our guide, was great: patient, very friendly and always attentive to all of us. Thanks to him and the small group we formed, the atmosphere was perfect, relaxed and pleasant from start to finish.   I came into this tour genuinely excited. A close friend had joined earlier in this year and told me it was one of the highlights of her trip, so I really believed this would be something magical. But after going through it myself, and recounting everything to her, even she was shocked at how different and how disappointing my experience was. The night started on the wrong foot when our guide arrived about 20 minutes late. We tried calling and messaging though our original communication medium of WhatsApp but couldn’t reach him at all, which left us waiting in the hotel lobby with no idea what was happening. And once he finally arrived, there wasn’t much of a greeting or explanation a generic head count without properly identifying his group members and off we went. What made the night feel especially frustrating was the lack of communication. We weren’t told when we were approaching viewing spots, so we didn’t know when to get our coats ready. Winter jackets that was listed as part of the included package in the tour were only mentioned after someone specifically asked, and by then we had already been freezing in the element for a while and some retreated in the van. Snacks and drinks were also only brought up after prompting, and they turned out to be just tea in a paper cup and a basic supermarket muffin. Worst of all it felt like everything had to be requested rather than being offered naturally when it should be given. There was also no info about potential toilet stops, preparing ourselves for a long ride ahead or what the plan was for the night, so we spent much of the tour not really knowing what to expect. The first viewing spot was overcrowded, and after some waiting in the van for news from his manager, we ended up at a second location right beside power lines which again is not an ideal photo background. The sky itself was stunning, full of stars and incredibly clear, and I so badly wanted that to be enough. But the Northern Lights were barely visible, and our guide relied heavily on calling his manager instead of using any real tools advertised in the tour description to chase better conditions. Despite the tour claiming “unlimited mileage”, he was reluctant to move to other places even though multiple people asked. We also got back after only about 4 hours, even though the tour was meant to last much longer, advertised as an 8 hour long trip. It honestly felt underwhelming, like the night was cut short before we even had a proper chance. The photos were something I had looked forward to, but they ended up being another disappointment. They were advertised as taken by a professional, yet many were either blurry or barely any aurora. They also arrived days later than promised, which added to the overall letdown. I do want to acknowledge that the guide was willing to stay outside and help take photos in -30°C whenever we asked, and I genuinely appreciate that effort. But it doesn’t change the fact that the whole experience felt unprepared, passive, and far below what we were expecting, especially after hearing how wonderful it could have been. I still loved standing under that clear Arctic sky, but I left the tour feeling sad that something with so much potential turned out the way it did.

  Northern Lights Tour – Beautiful Sky, But Disappointing Overall We booked this tour hoping for a memorable Northern Lights experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Our guide, Adam, arrived about 20 minutes late, and we couldn’t reach him via call or text beforehand. When he finally arrived, there was very little introduction before we set off. Communication throughout the trip was minimal—he only mentioned that we could ask questions if needed. There were no heads-ups when approaching viewing spots, so we didn’t have time to prepare our coats. Snacks and drinks were only mentioned after someone asked, and they turned out to be just hot tea in a plastic cup and a supermarket muffin, which really doesn’t reflect the cost of the tour. There was also no information about toilet availability during the long drive. The first location was overcrowded, and after 15 minutes of searching, we ended up at a second spot next to high-tension power cables—not ideal for photos. While the sky was clear and full of stars, the Northern Lights were barely visible. Adam relied on asking his manager where to go rather than using any cutting-edge technology or planning tools, and when we saw almost nothing, he simply blamed “bad luck” instead of considering postponing or canceling the trip for a better experience. The tour was advertised as having unlimited mileage to find the best spot, but he was reluctant to move despite multiple requests. It was listed as 8 hours, yet we were back in just 4 hours including travel time, which felt rushed. Pictures were promised by Saturday but only arrived on Tuesday, and most of them barely showed any lights, which added to the frustration. On the positive side, Adam was willing to stay outside in -30°C to take photos for us whenever requested, which we appreciated. Overall, the lack of communication, poor planning, minimal effort, and shortened duration made this experience underwhelming. A little more initiative and proactive guidance could have made a big difference.
