This is the London you see on TV! Here you'll walk in the foot steps of the royal family, stroll along beautiful royal parks, see where our Monarchs are crowned, and learn about secret rooms underneath government buildings - and what exactly happened down there. You'll pass by the home of the Prime Minister, have a chance to see the King's swans, and visit the most important royal palace in the country (spoiler: it's NOT Buckingham).
You'll see the seats of the royal and governmental bodies that control the UK and learn their 1,000 year old history. You'll have a chance to inspect the King's guards, see the most famous palace in the world, take a photo of "Big Ben" ...and then learn why you aren't actually taking a photo of Big Ben.
Sometimes we even have an opportunity to wave to the King and, sometimes, he even waves back!
On days that it takes place, this tour also includes the world-famous Changing of the Guard - and we will take you to the best place to view it.

Changing of the Guard
MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS ONLY AT 9:00 OR 10:00. Your guide will take you to our tried-and-tested viewpoint to get you a front-row view of this historic ceremony. NOTE: The Changing of the Guard schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays is subject to change and may be disrupted by adverse weather, London events, and official activity relating to the Royal Family.

5.00We had a fabulous tour with Sinead! She was informative, fun and a joy to be with. She led us to all the best places to watch the Royal Airforce band, the changing of the guard, and the changing of the horse guards. All the while, she gave us a running commentary of London’s history and important sites. We could not have asked for a better tour!

5.00I spent my birthday in London and joined couple of tours that Tours by Foot offers and it was truly unforgettable from the moment we met by Green Park’s Diana fountain, the experience was exceptional. Our guide brought the city to life, full of sharp historical insights and royal anecdotes. We avoided the crowds, got the best vantage points, and learned fascinating tidbits about the royal family. Standing by Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, celebrating a new year of life in such historic, grand surroundings felt cinematic and magical. The group's warm energy and our guide’s sense of celebration made the day feel special and personal. Highly recommended!

5.00Sinead is in a league of her own when it comes to how to lead a tour! We became huge fans during Covid watching her uploads on YouTube that we needed to experience one of her tours in person and it was all we expected at more. If you are looking to learn a lot in a personal and conversational way please book with Tours By Foot!!! 10 out of 10!!

5.00Honestly such a good idea to book a tour instead of just doing it on our own! My husband and I had the best time and the history was brought to life but our amazing guide (I wish I could remember her name but it’s slipped my mind). We’ve done walking tours before but this one was honestly one of the best because it felt like we were getting real facts on the best bits of London history instead of a guide just rambling on for ages. We would recommend in a heartbeat!

5.00We are big fans of Tours By Foot - we have done a lot of their tours in the US (NYC, DC, Philly) and were excited to try several tours in London. The Westminster Tour was a big hit with our family - my mom loves the Royals and found this tour super interesting. I appreciated that the guide was mindful of pace with a senior citizen in our group and she was able to answer to every question and more. We had a great time!
