Have you always wanted to try the champagne/samurai sword party trick? Learn how to do it, Barcelona-style, with a machete and a bottle of fine cava!

Here's what we'll do:

-A Brief History of Champagne Sabrage (Modern day Cava Sabering!)

-Technique on cava sabering, safety controls etc.

-Live demonstration with a glass or two of cava for each participant

-Each participant is shown what to do and each sabers a bottle of cava

-After-sabering speakeasy where we drink what we didn't spill, with nibbles.

*NOTE: This class is scheduled on alternating days with my other experience; Class in a Glass. It may be possible to schedule in a Sabrage class if the other class is not booked. So please contact me to ask if a different date is possible. Thanks!

We thought that this looked a fun activity in preparation for our Barcelona wedding. We didn't expect to have so much fun with Zara, who gave us the courage to sabre a bottle of cava with one swing for the sword. It is a highly recommended experience and we are looking forward to trying her other experiences the next time we are back in Barcelona.
You'll never need a corkscrew again!

This was an amazing experience from start to ending. Zara makes you feel welcome from the moment you step inside of her lovely atelier. After a brief history of the wonderful art of Sabrage, you can try it yourself and trust me you'll never want to open a bottle the boring "normal" way again!

Fun experience with excellent explanation and supervision by Zara! We went with a group of 5 friends and had a blast :-). With the right technique, the sabrage itself is quite simple. And the best part is that you have one bottle of cava to finish per person ;) it brought us in the right mood for a fun party night!

So much fun! Zara is a great instructor too. I always learn a lot in her classes and enjoy myself. Definitely recommend this class and her other classes.

This was such a fun experience. Learning about the wines in the area was very interesting. Zara is such a warm and gracious hostess. We chatted the entire time and left feeling like friends. I also was able to buy a couple bottles of great wine. On my return home all my friends could talk about was the amazing video of my new skill and wanting to see it in person. It's such a fun party, weekend, weekday, or even Friday afternoon in the office trick. I ended up buying a sabre of my own since it's been requested so often.

My husband and I were part of a nice intimate class of 7 this December and went in with really no expectations. However, from the very beginning Zara made us feel at ease and helped the group of strangers turn fast friends. Easily one of the best, most fun experiences we've ever had! Highly suggest to anyone visiting!!

This is a great experience - not to be missed. Zara presents with exceptional detail, fun and safety how to open a bottle of Cava with a machete! Who would have thought! Something for all lovers of wine and champagne/cava. The perfect event for corporate companies, groups or even to meet new people visiting or living in Barcelona. This would also be a great birthday gift for someone special - they so won't expect what's coming! Topped off with some Cava tasting and a keyring momento of your own cracked bottle top!
