Venture into Buggy Island Adventure for 4-hours on a coast to coast, off-road and guided Island adventure.
Choose between our 500cc or 1000cc automatic Buggy and get to know all the highlights of Sal. Explore beautiful sand dunes, visit Serra Negra, the natural reserve of the island. Witness the mirage by traveling to Terra Boa.

Without a valid and original driving license, participants will not be able to participate on the tour. No refund will be given
Group sizes will be limited to no more than 8 passengers. This includes up to 2 passengers per buggy
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
For safety reasons, there is a weight limit of 120 kg (265 lbs) per seat

Murdeira
Murdeira bay is the mating place of the turtle during the summer because there the water is calm, since is protect by the coast from the left hand side and by the mountain from the right hand side. The catamaran stops at the base of "Monte Leao" that is a mountain in the shape of a sleeping lion.
Fontona
Fontona it's the biggest Oasis of Sal Island, it's located close to Palemira Village on the north-east coast.

5.00On arrival, filled out drivers license form and kitted out with much appreciated overalls. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. Started on road which is good as it gives time to get to grips with buggy before going off road where the fun starts. We both had a great time, would definitely recommend this experience.

5.00From the booking process to the end of the trip - everything was well organized. A great way to see a lot of the island. A fun experience with great guides who took safety seriously. There were also families on this trip with young children and everyone had a great time ! Would thoroughly recommend this excursion.

5.00Magnificent experience that we will always carry in our hearts, 4H adventure with baggy, in which we traveled the whole island crossing the desert and touching the most important points. Truly a wonderful morning!!! Our guides David and Rony were very competent and prepared, confident (they gave just the sense of security), very kind and super helpful!! Absolutely experience to do if you come to Sal!❤️

5.00Four hours of buggy in northern Boa Vista. Very well organized excursion with very nice and professional guides. Stop in front of the wreckage not exceptional but to see anyway. Especially really 2h buggy on the paths and sand of the Viana desert, within reach of everyone but really top if you want to have fun. I recommend without hesitation.

5.00The tour was amazing. Saw places of the island not accessible by bus and the three tour guides also were amazing and kind guys. Telling some interesting facts about Sal. Buggy's were modern, plenty quick and easy to operate except for the doors latches but the guides also were quick to respond of they didnt open or shut properly. Tip, Do some poses for the camera while you're at it! They came out Brilliant and were definitely worth buying afterwards.

5.00This was the most fun I've had in a long time! Touring the island with knowledgeable guides who made you feel at ease and added fun and laughter to the day. We more than got our money's worth. It's bumpy and dusty but the team provides you with all the safety equipment including overalls and a bag on the back to store your belongings. If you don't have a scarf to cover your face they can be purchased for €5 each. The tour took us up the coast Murderia, Palmeria, the natural swimming pools at Berracoa (not the blue eye), we viewed the salt lakes and Espargos from a high viewpoint, the Terra Boa mirage and on to the lemon sharks. As many reviews have already said, you need to wear water shoes which the locals can rent to you for €3. After the sharks the route to Santa Maria was excellent racing around the sand dunes. The photographer who joins the trip sells packages of his excellent pictures at the end for €30 and they're emailed to you in around an hour. Ladies beware, there is 1 toilet stop at the mirage, it's 50 cents to use and had a bit of a queue. Other than that it's wait until you get back 🤣 We would highly recommend this tour as it will be a highlight of your stay in Sal!
