Salt Mine is famous not only in Poland, but also in the world, thanks to the beautiful Salt Mine, visited by over 1 million tourists a year. Since the thirteenth century, the city is known as the mining center of this resource, and the mine was founded thanks to Saint. Kinga. The mine is a labyrinth of underground pavements with a length of 300 km. It is a valuable monument of material culture and technical thought. Visiting the Mine takes about 2-3 hours and takes place on several alternative routes. Travel time from Krakow to Wieliczka is about 30 minutes. This is a tour with a private transfer from Krakow. Sightseeing takes place in groups with other participants.

4.00We really enjoyed the tour. The queue was not too long and our guide was helpful and very knowledgeable. We were taken to the mine by taxi and out driver Tom was brilliant sharing with us his recommendations about restaurants and places to visit.

5.00Absolutely brilliant experience. The tour company kept us updated and our driver, Daniel arrived on time keeping us updated on his way. Everything ran perfectly and glad we chose Krak Tours for our experience at the Salt mines. If your hesitant about booking them, dont be. Book them and they will look after you from the start, right back to your drop off point. Daniel even went the extra mile dropping us at Wavel castle afterwards instead of back at our hotel.

5.00Be prepared for a marathon ..830 wooden steps down ,no exits to leave so once your in your'e in ! The tour itself is a lot of walking through all the levels . The statues carved from salt were beautiful and the main chapel is breath taking . You end tour at the cafe where you will have earned that cuppa !! It was quite busy but tour was maintained well , Be prepared though after cafe you line up to walk to the lift . That walk goes on and on and on......... to then be rammed in a lift like sardines , I'm tiny and was literally squashed at the back ! Not sure about the health and safety of getting in the mine down all those stairs and at the end being rammed in a lift !!! Personally I wouldn't say this trip is for the elderly or less mobile and a lot of the younger children struggled with it , You can get there easily on public transport .

5.00We were picked up at our hotel by a lovely driver Tomi who drove us and another couple to the salt mines. He was informative and knowledgeable giving us tips and recommendations. He saw us into the salt mines do our tour and told us to text him when we got out. The pick up and drop off was very smooth and I would definitely recommend

5.00We had an excellent day on this tour of the salt mines, our driver was first class, a really nice and professional person. It's definitely a must see if you are staying in Krakow.

5.00A very good tour, Simon our driver was excellent. The tour inside the mine was very good, you had enough time to take photos and the structures were amazing. We didn't meet up with groups following us which was a good thing. The chamber with all the religious salt paintings was by far the best. Well worth a visit.

5.00Great trip, picked up on time by Petr. 25m drive to the mines. A must see if in Krakow. Comfortable van with our driver giving us valuable pointers on route. Unfortunately he did nt know the flow direction of the vast river.
