Sound of Music Tour -A must do in Salzburg!

5.00Jose and Galinda were our tour guides and they were great! The Sound of Music tour stopped at several places, and we were able to see so many of the places where it was filmed. We also learned more details about the Von Trapp family. We also did the salt mine tour which is a lot to do in a day, but we like to paxl ot in. I'd highly recommend both tours!

5.00We did the salt mines & sound of music tour in one day. It is actually on two coaches, first off to the salt mines with a well informed guide and then an hour in Bertchesgaden, to have some lunch or just wander round. Then back on the coach to the start point, where we boarded another coach for the Sound of music tour. It was good fun, with a bit of a sing song along the way!
So glad we did both tours. Loved it.

5.00This was one of the highlights of our time in Salzburg. Really enjoyed the salt mine. Our tour guide was awesome and I loved shopping in the smaller village. The SOM tour was so fun! Jose was amazing. Fun and knowledgeable! Highly recommended this tour.

5.00We had a wonderful experience!! They switched around our two tours due to weather and everything worked out so well. April and Eric were fabulous. I would highly recommend doing the combo tour.

5.00The salt mines were a pleasant surprise. I had no idea how interesting they were. Though they caught us VIPs, I felt like an outsider because I did not speak German. The real bonus was the historical knowledge of our guide. He was able to show us things about Hitler and the Nazi party that I have never heard before. By itself, that was a tour worth doing. The sound of music tour was fun, but since I don’t know all of the words to the songs, it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a great way to experience Salzburg.

5.00The Sound of Music portion was excellent in that is was informative and entertaining. Our guide was welcoming and made the attempt to know each of us (cannot remember his name but he was originally from Australia). We will always remember him singing songs from the movie as we drove to the places where the movie was filmed. He seemed to enjoy his time with us. We were told to meet the group at 0815 and the tour really started at 0914. The bus driver was skilled. We could not believe how he maneuvered the sharp turns and curves! We appreciated the breaks and opportunities to walk. The Salt Mines portion was a nice roadtrip with good information along the way. The underground tour was led by a miner who was proud of his occupation and the mine itself. The boat ride across the underground lake was beautiful. I was nervous about the slides into the lower levels but they were fun and safe.

5.00Amazing combination but be prepared for a full day. Good 9.5 hours in total. Tour guides are amazing, especially Kylie from Australia (not Minogue!) who lives Maria.
