5.00The salt mines were a pleasant surprise. I had no idea how interesting they were. Though they caught us VIPs, I felt like an outsider because I did not speak German. The real bonus was the historical knowledge of our guide. He was able to show us things about Hitler and the Nazi party that I have never heard before. By itself, that was a tour worth doing. The sound of music tour was fun, but since I don’t know all of the words to the songs, it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a great way to experience Salzburg.

5.00The Sound of Music portion was excellent in that is was informative and entertaining. Our guide was welcoming and made the attempt to know each of us (cannot remember his name but he was originally from Australia). We will always remember him singing songs from the movie as we drove to the places where the movie was filmed. He seemed to enjoy his time with us. We were told to meet the group at 0815 and the tour really started at 0914. The bus driver was skilled. We could not believe how he maneuvered the sharp turns and curves! We appreciated the breaks and opportunities to walk. The Salt Mines portion was a nice roadtrip with good information along the way. The underground tour was led by a miner who was proud of his occupation and the mine itself. The boat ride across the underground lake was beautiful. I was nervous about the slides into the lower levels but they were fun and safe.

5.00Amazing combination but be prepared for a full day. Good 9.5 hours in total. Tour guides are amazing, especially Kylie from Australia (not Minogue!) who lives Maria.

5.00We loved everything about this experience. The Sound of Music tour met and exceeded expectations. Jose and Ebil made the experience extraordinary. The Slat Mine experience was great as well. My wife did it as a child and was better than she remembered.

5.00My whole group loved this tour! The salt mines were incredible. My only complaint is that there wasn’t only 2 slides. They were so fun. I wish I could have walked back up to them and done them again. The sound of music tour was engaging and happy. Our tour guide brought to life the lives of the VonTrapp family. I’m sad we didn’t get more time to wonder at each stop. Also, we didn’t catch that Austria is a very cash based system. That would have been good to know before we arrived.
Salt Mines and SOM tours the best!

5.00Despite the fact that we didn't make any reservations we were so blessed to be able to visit the Salt Mines in Berchtesgaden as well as go on the Sound of Music Tour. Our Tour Guide to Berchtesgaden was Erich and he was excellent. He brought the local History to Life and made it very interesting. We enjoyed visiting the Salt Mines. Upon our return we boarded the next Tour Bus to take us on the Sound of Music Tour. Antonio was our Tour Guide and it was another wonderful and fun experience. Even though my husband left his cellphone on the first bus staff members of Panorama Tours were very helpful in returning the phone the next day. Thank you Panorama Tours for making this such a memorable visit.
