On arrival in Tajikistan, a local guide and driver will meet the group to take them on a scenic journey to explore the ancient city of Panjakent. Seven Lakes
At the Seven Lakes, travelers can enjoy one of the most scenic natural areas of Tajikistan. Each lake has its own unique color and character, ranging from deep blue to emerald green. Visitors can stop at every lake, take beautiful photos, and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Travelers can also take short hikes between some of the lakes, walking through small villages and meeting local families who live in the mountains. Many visitors enjoy having tea or a homemade lunch in a traditional guesthouse, where they can experience the warm hospitality of the people. The Seven Lakes area is also perfect for picnics, nature walks, and observing rural mountain life. Breathtaking beauty of Tajikistan!

4.00I had such a fun day in beautiful nature of Tajikistan. After spending some time in touristy places in Uzbekistan, this was a good change and a breath of fresh air. My driver was waiting for me in the morning and we departed on time. Got to the border and spent about 45 minutes there, but the whole process was seamless. Once we entered Tajikistan, our guide Umeda and driver Umed found us quickly. The van was nice and modern. Umeda told us about Tajikistan on the way. We didn’t spend much time in Panjakent, but I liked the city. We packed lunch there to take to the mountains. I loved the scenic drive from and to the lakes! Breathtaking beauty made the long drive more enjoyable. Missing one star is because I signed up for 6am, and I intentionally chose this tour & that time because I wanted to have an early start and an early end. However, when the tour organizer contacted me the day before, it was changed to 7:30am. As it was already after the free cancellation window, I agreed to it. The tour description does not mention the possibility of time change. Overall, I still had a wonderful tour with great company and I highly recommend this to anyone traveling in Samarkand.

5.00It was a nice experience and I’m glad I joined the tour. The destination itself was beautiful and definitely worth seeing. In my opinion, the tour is a bit overpriced for what you actually get, even if this is the standard rate. The guide did her best and made an effort throughout the tour, which I appreciated. She seemed genuinely dedicated.

5.00The trip to the Seven Lakes was absolutely fantastic! The views were breathtaking, and Murod gave us plenty of time to really soak in the atmosphere of the plac. He shared a lot of fascinating information about the local culture, and the overall vibe of the tour was great. I highly recommend leaving early in the morning—we started at 6:00 AM and were among the first people there. It started getting a bit crowded later on, so the early start was definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

4.00The scenery is rugged, brown mountains most of the way. Most of the day is spent in the car with stops to take pictures at the lakes. The most interesting parts were passing a village and the handful of houses and seeing people living their rustic lives, for example, a little girl carrying water up from a stream.
If it clears up, it will be the best view!

5.00If the weather is clear, you can experience the best scenery. It takes a few hours to drive along gravel roads in mountain valleys, but is recommended for those who like the unexplored. Thank you to our guide Sulhiya and driver sono for their kind consideration!

5.00We had a fantastic 1-day tour from Samarkand to the Seven Lakes in Tajikistan. Our guide, Murod, was excellent, very helpful, professional, and knew all the best spots for views. We didn't make it to the 7th lake (not possible at winter), but the 6th lake was beautiful and a highlight of the trip. Murod also took some great photos of us throughout the day, which is greatly appreciated! He took us to a local restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious, authentic Tajik dish. If you're looking for a smooth and memorable trip to Tajikistan, I highly recommend booking with Murod!
