Great tour but strenuous

5.00It is a very good tour but physically challenging with walking and Stars over 5 miles. Was 85 and muggy on our day and hydration was a must. Our guide Kenji was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. We took 5-6 trains which evolved many stairs.

5.00We had a great day with Kenji. We had a little trouble finding the meeting spot but we just called over WhatsApp and they came and found us right away. We had a nice small group and Kenji was patient for all the picture taking. We saw all the spots advertised in the tour and got some nice recommendations for after the tour. I’ve been on several tours in Japan before but I learned some new things about Japanese customs from Kenji today. Great day!

3.00Our guide Shehab was more a leader than a guide for the four sites we saw in that he led our group in the subway and to where we were going but did not engage us with what we were seeing or educate us. For instance, while touring the shrine there are beautiful murals on the walls that we just walked past without learning their history. This is my first group tour (I usually hire a private guide) so I was disappointed that people were late to the tour and lagged behind during the tour. Shehab could have done a better job rounding up the group. Osaka is the least interesting of the cities we visited and a half day is plenty to see the major sites. We could not go into the castle because of time constraints.
