On this awe-inspiring OPEN-AIR Jeep Tour, you will travel deep into the heart of California’s world-famous San Andreas Fault and witness the forces of nature that have created amazing, steep-walled canyons and the most twisted and tormented landscapes on Earth!
You will be awestruck by the spectacular scenery as your Jeep winds its way through the bones of the earth. During your adventure, you will stop several times for short nature walks, including a short hike through a slot canyon, if desired.
This tour also stops at a natural palm oasis, where water bubbles up from the ground year-round. Here you will learn about how the Cahuilla Indians used desert plants to survive in this inhospitable environment.
A final highlight is a guided tour of our recreated Cahuilla Indian Village that showcases the lifestyle and culture of the Cahuilla people.

5.00A great calm afternoon with guide Steve P educating our group like a professional teacher. Lots of interesting facts about the fault and the effect of the earth’s plates as they move. Must wear good hiking footwear for the slot canyon hikes to enjoy them to the fullest. Well organized with water and snacks and a fun ride in the open air jeep of past days. Highly recommend this experience to appreciate the Coachella Valley views as well.

5.00Amazing tour with Travis Nolan. Informative, interactive, and fun. Learned so much about the fault, palm trees and the life cycle, history of the Cuihilla Indians and a recreation of a village , and also the rock formations, canyons, local wildlife and plant life. Plenty of water available and granola bars. At the end Travis even took some time to give us some amazing local tips for eating, golfing and visiting Joshua Tree. Truly a top notch experience.
