Our excursion is departing from Valencia city to discover the largest underground river in Europe declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.
An amazing underground labyrinth where the magic of nature comes to life. Stalactites and stalagmites intertwine in a stone dance, while vast rooms reveal the grandeur hidden beneath our feet.
You will: discover the origins of the caves, witness their evolution throughout the years, and behold the breathtaking views of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park.
We will pick you up from the meeting points in Valencia and right after we will start our adventure driving to ''la Vall d'Uixò''.
After the visit inside the caves (1 hr approx) we will have 30 minutes free time to discover an Iberian Roman settlement (that has incredible views of the region), drink something, have a brunch or just take a rest at the natural area.

If your booking is a last minute one (made it from 07:30 p.m.-07:30 a.m.) your meeting point will be TORRES DE SERRANOS
The schedule is approximated, we will send a WhatsApp message with all the collection details one day before. Please write a correct phone number (if the phone number is invalid, we are not responsible of missing information) in case you don't have Whatsapp the activity provider will send an email through Viator.
If you do not leave the information of your favorite pick-up point, we will automatically assign you: Torres de Serranos.
Being late is not our responsability.
The duration of the activity (from the collection until we return from the caves) is 4h.
We will not bathe in the river in this activity.
Inside the caves there is a constant annual temperature of 20ºC.
You will have 30 minutes of free time to use bathrooms, bars and shops or just for relaxing at the area.
You can take your own food/drinks. But is not allowed to eat inside the bus.
You have included the transportation to go and return (same pick up point)
If you check out from your hotel, you can take your luggage with you. You must notify us to guarantee space.
You will be accompanied by an official guide (from Valencia&Go) who will tell you the essential you need to know about Valencia, as well as all the secrets that are hidden inside the Cuevas de San José, its incredible history and curiosities in detail (English and Spanish). Besides, on the boat tour you will go with a guide-boatman who will guide you along the way and will point out some key spots of the natural wonder. (could be in Spanish). If you have any questions, you can always ask the official Valencia & Go guide, he will be willing to answer them when you leave the caves.
For your safety: you can take photos only in designated areas. To protect the cave fauna, flash photography is not allowed.
For this regular tour, pickup at Trasmed-Grimaldi, Moll de Ponent, Poblados Marítimos, 46024 Puerto de Valencia is not available, as this meeting point is exclusive to a different product.

5.00Joaquin kept us informed throughout and shared some insights into life in Spain. His conversational English was excellent. We felt the trip was good value and the team at the Sant Josep Caves were also very professional, keeping us safe and sound. All in all, we were glad to have made the booking, and despite our last minute decision to go, after the office had closed, the communication was excellent, first thing the next morning, with all the information we needed for a hassle free pick-up. Highly recommend this tour company, Valencia&Go.

5.00Had a fantastic excursion with Ferran Costa. On the way there, everything about the area and history was told in an interesting and humorous way. The caves themselves were beautiful! Back we got many tips from Ferran about other activities. Had a nice morning with a good and friendly guide.

5.00A perfect experience with Valencia&Go. The caves are amazing, but when you also have a guide who takes care of you, tells you all the curiosities (not only about the caves, but also about Valencia) and in your language .. we did it in Italian, it is the only agency that offers it!, the experience becomes even more special. My partner and I loved it. An ideal way to spend a morning. Highly recommended if you come to Valencia!!

4.00The tour was well organized and the communication by the organizer was also fine. Due to too few registrations, my booked tour was cancelled, but an alternative was quickly found that was appropriate. The caves are beautiful and I found it very impressive to see. The guides knew a lot to tell us during the route towards the caves and the guide who accompanied us in the cave also knew a lot of interesting information to tell us. The only flaw I found was the waiting time after arriving at the caves. That really could have been a lot shorter for me. All in all a great tour and pleasant organization!
