• Great Value with loads of ‘pig time’

  We had a fantastic ‘half day’ tour with Sandy Toes. Arrived a bit early but the team ran to time. Check in was simple with wristbands given and waiver to be signed. All on board for a 30min boat ride to the island where we were met by the pigs. Snorkelling available immediately but a bit further out than I liked so we went straight to the beach which was a 2-3min walk (over rough ish walkways and a good few stairs (mobility should be considered when you book) Bar was well stocked and drinks included in the original price (upgrade available before departure for frozen drinks) we didn’t upgrade and still had plenty to drink. Plenty of chairs on the beach, shade available and some games/ hammocks dotted around. Peahens and peacocks wandering around which you can feed. There were 16 pigs that were brought out in groups of 3-5 around every 30-45mins. There was maybe 50 people on our boat…we were the only people there. It’s a private part of the island meaning we didn’t fight through crowds at any point. Tbe pigs came out multiple times through out the day. The pigs are trained and perform tricks and pose for photos on one outing. The staff are very friendly and all acted in the animals best interest at all times. The next time the pigs came out they went in the sea and you had the opportunity to feed them fruit from sticks. There was plenty of fruit for everyone to have a couple of goes. Another time they were out they were swimming and you could race them. Lunch was served, bbq chicken or beef hotdogs, salad, pasta, rice etc. very nice and again included in original price. Believe you could pay extra to use kayaks and tubes but we didn’t. We left around 3pm and another 30min boat back to paradise island was a lovely end to the day. We felt this was very good value for money and we had quite a lot of ‘pig time’.

  Rose island tour was fantastic very relaxing the pig interaction was very cool we had a nice lunch. The weather was perfect which made the day so much better. All the staff were very friendly. Fully recommend this trip.

  This trip was just right for us. A short 30 minute journey to Rose Island suited us more than a 2 hour trip to Exuma. On arrival at Rose Island we could take part in snorkeling, then visit the Beach Bar - unlimited cocktails included in the price - and interact with the pigs. Lunch was also provided. The trip was a good length overall, and Cody was a great guide. The interaction with the pigs would perhaps benefit from slots for kids, and some just for adults. It was difficult to get up close with them when there were kids everywhere. This is just a suggestion though - we had a great time regardless.

  My husband and I booked this for our first day in Nassau. It was honestly the best part of our trip. I loved seeing the pigs. I also enjoyed the snorkeling, even tho it was a bit chilly! The crew and staff were all very friendly. The lunch (bbq chicken), was actually the best food we had, including the restaurants at our resort. It was such a nice day and I would recommend this trip to anyone going to Nassau.

  Fantastic family day at Rose Island with Sandy Toes! This whole experience was our beat day of the week we spent in the Bahamas. The staff were incredibly friendly, the beach was gorgeous, and the animals were so well behaved and cared for. Lunch was delicious and the bars made the best drinks!

  Fun day at Rose Island! We did the 6 hour tour and we had a wonderful time. The staff was so professional, fun and took very good care of all of us. The pigs are safe, clean and very well mannered. Lunch was even good! The beach was clean and had no problems. There are a lot of stairs but not horrible. I highly recommend!

  What a great experience!! I cannot say enough about this tour! The boat ride over to the island was smooth and beautiful. When we got to the island we were greeted by the amazing staff and the piggies! As we walked to the beach we met lots of chickens and peacocks and even two little goats. We got to feed all of them! We stopped at the bar to get a drink of the way to the beach. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were great. The beach is absolutely magnificent! The pigs are BIG and well cared for. They are so smart and friendly. Some of them even do tricks. The staff instructed us on how to feed them. They had 18 pigs on the island, and they rotated them out to us every 30 minutes. The staff members go out into the water and the pigs swim out to them. Then you can race the pigs back to shore. I was surprised at how fast they swim! It is very organized, and they staff has full control. Despite what people say about other tours there was ZERO "mess" from in the pigs in the water or on the beach. They are trained very well, and this is probably due to them being taken back to their quarters every 30 minutes. The buffet lunch was delicious and there were so many places to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach. Thank you to all of the crew members and the animal handlers! You guys are awesome! And special thanks to Alex, who was so friendly and informative throughout the trip! We can't wait to come back and do it all again!
