Only historical tour of its kind by a true local and bona fide historian. Ana Pacheco's family settled in Santa Fe in 1692 and she was the City Historian of Santa Fe (2015 - 2017). Pacheco is the author of eight books: Legendary Locals of Santa Fe, The History of Spirituality in Santa Fe, Pueblos of New Mexico, Early New Mexico Death Rituals, Los Comidas Cookbook, Saints & Seasons, Early Santa Fe, J. Paul Taylor: The Man from Mesilla.

Information on the tour includes: Santa Fe Opera, Route 66, 109 E. Palace & the Manhattan Project, Pueblos of New Mexico History, Loretto Chapel, San Miguel Mission, Canyon Road & Santa Fe as an Art Mecca, Sunmount Sanatorium, Santuario de Guadalupe, Masonic Scottish Rite Temple, Spirituality in Santa Fe & Cross of the Martyrs, Japanese Internment Camp, History of the Civil War in New Mexico.     Anna, our tour guide arrived prepared full of knowledge of Santa fe and New Mexican history. At various stops she showed us before photos of historic landmarks. The tour was a comfortable pace, not rushed and Anna had answers to all questions. The tour was so enjoyable, we wished it was longer. I would definately recommend this tour if you are looking to learn about Santa Fe history. Anna was awesome.

    Ana's walking tour was excellent. How did 2 hours pass so quickly. Her knowledge of the history of Santa Fe & New Mexico is almost as impressive as her ability to remember around 100 dates that she shared with us ! Her presentation style is friendly & engaging & there is no "stuffy" aspect to her tour.

    Anna was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and made the trip so interesting. She gave us the whole history of Santa Fe from 1610 onwards. We throughly enjoyed our time with her.
