  A great tour! We had been in Santiago for a few days already, but Franco took us to important sites and neighborhoods we had not seen. Franco is a wonderful guide. He’s very knowledgeable about the City, and he’s very friendly and nice. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

  Incredible tour with Jose. I truly felt like I got to see so much of Santiago. Jose was very knowledgeable and really tailored the tour to meet exactly what I needed. I highly recommend.

  Excellent walking tour of Santiago. The tour guide, Franco S., sent me a text the day before the tour to confirm the meeting details (time, pick up at our hotel, etc.). The tour was from 9:30-4:30 p.m. which included a nice lunch at the Central Market. Franco's tour included riding the metro system, so it was a great introduction for us as we used the metro on our own on subsequent days. Would highly recommend the tour.

  Ricardo was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and we saw a LOT of the key attractions and sites in Santiago. You do need to be fit for this walk especially on a hot day.

  Our tour guide Cristopher was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and fun. He took us around Santiago showing us highlights we wouldn't have noticed if we were on our own. He was a good photographer too. He took a lot of wonderful photos and videos for us. We went up to San Cristobal Hill on the cable car and came down with the Funicular. He took us to Chilean and Pre-Columbian Art Museum, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santiago Stock Exchange, etc. We had sampled Mote con huesillo, which is a traditional Chilean summer-time drink, a non-alcoholic beverage consisting of a sweet clear nectar-like liquid made with dried peaches (huesillo) cooked in sugar and cinammon and mixed with fresh cooked husked whea (mote). We also had a delicious lunch at Mercado Central. You can basically customize your tour to suit you. We enjoyed the trip very much. My only concern was that there was some kind of misunderstanding between Cristopher and the tour provider. This tour was listed as an approx. 7 hours tour. However, according to Cristopher, he was only told to guide a 4 hours tour. Cristopher was kind enough to spend a bit more of his time with us. Therefore, the tour provider Ruta Chile, please review your description. If this is not a 7 hour tour, do not list it as a 7 hour tour.

  Jose Luis from Ruta Tours in Santiago was outstanding. He was knowlgable, amusing, socially informative and more of a traveling companion than a guide. We would reccomend Ruta Tours and Jose Luis to anyone visiting Santiago

  We had a great walking tour experience of Santiago. Our guide, Jose laid out a balanced and diversified experience including the Cathedral en Plaza de Armas, Government City Center, Metropolitan Park and Bellavista. In addition to plenty of walking we used the subway, bus and the funicular to get around this city.
