Immerse yourself in the world of sumo at Sapporo's first sumo show restaurant, where history and culinary delight meet. Learn the ancient rules of sumo and witness expert demonstrations from retired wrestlers. Feel the thrill as you step into the ring for your own match, limited to a select few. Sumo is as old if not older than Japan itself. we will take you on a deep frive through history and how sumo has evolved throughout the millennia, while you enjoy an authentic Japanese style meal in an intimate setting. *For meal-inclusive plans, the meal consists of Wagyu beef sukiyaki and tempura. If you would like vegetarian meal, Please let us know in advance via message. Watch demonstrations of the morning exercises (asa geiko), somo of the techniques (kimarite) and the do’s and don’t’s of sumo wrestling before a best of 3 competition(tachiai)of real sumo between our wrestlers, who are retired from competition. Experience Sumo firsthand by challenging our wrestlers to a sumo match in the ring. (Limited to people per show). If there are too many applicants, challengers will be decided by lottery. Intimate view of the Dohyo from all seats. To really feel connected to the action please upgrade to our front row seating. Take home a gift bag of souvenirs as well as a framed photo of you and your group with the wrestlers. ATTENTION- This is a show by retired wrestlers for entertainment purposes.

Incredible experience from start to finish! We felt so welcomed upon arrival, had a robust meal of hot pot, bento, and soup! Mochi, the host, was sweet as her name! The show was interactive and entertaining. We laughed and smiled throughout and was engaging for a 3-year-old. They sent us home with fresh mochi, a printed photo, and some other goodies. Totally recommend!

This was a really fun experience. The beef shabu shabu dinner was very good and filling. We also got to learn a little bit about sumo tradition. They do a great job with audience participation and the experience came with a free photo as well as some other treats. There’s also an opportunity to buy other souvenirs exiting. It was a fun thing to do with family and get some memorable pictures from our vacation.
100% would recommend.

This was a really fun show, with excellent food. The entertainment was great, and the sumo wrestlers a lot of fun to watch. We enjoyed listening to the history and participating in the show. Highly recommend! It was a great way to spend family time together 🙃

It was such a wonderful experience. Such respect for culture and still being so joyful at the same time. The team is on top of their game and very sincere and dedicated to giving you a memorable experience. It was not about “fighting” but about history, culture that leads to one actual match. It is worth the time and the cold (minus 5C here now) to experience this.

Our family visited at the 11:00 time-slot with food and the kids really enjoyed the experience. The show has a mix of information, screen visuals, dancing and sumo demonstrations. There is an interactive aspect too with members of the audience participating. The food was excellent and plentiful. The staff attentive and friendly. There’s a souvenir bag with photo given at the end too. Perhaps not the most authentic experience but fun nonetheless.

This was hands down one of our FAVORITE experiences in Japan! EVERY aspect of the show left us oohing, aahing or laughing! So many opportunities to participate (PERFECT IG photos!!!) and the food/service was amazing. We honestly cannot rave about this experience enough!!! We will surely recommend to all our traveling friends!! Thank you for your patience with our family after we had some traveling issues!!!
