Sarajevo has a strong subcultured street art scene. Historicaly, after the 1995 siege of Sarajevo, the city was 95% damaged and remained depresively uncolored. The first color renaissance was actually provided by street artists through street art, graffiti scene and various murals. Every picture on the wall describes our society and the city itself. Different interpretions, various expressions and many colored areas will be met on the tour. Let's see

Our accredited and official Sarajevo art tour guide will guide you to Bentbaša area, where Mural 'In the preservation of monuments of the past' is located. Each mural on this tour is explained in details.
Our second stop will be the art building 'Papagajka' (Perrot), where the first street art festival was held and where wall art examples are also met.

5.00Alan gave us a wonderful tour of Sarajevo incorporating its history as well as street art. Since it was the off-season, the tour was intimate (just our family of four) and shifted earlier in the day so it was still light out. We saw some incredible murals, including his own(!), as well as smaller pieces throughout the older part of the city. A unique way to view and appreciate the city and its people.

5.00Alan’s tour of Sarajevo street art—including his own work—was brilliant. He put the works into historical and artistic context for us, and enabled us to see pieces we never would have found on our own. Alan himself was smart and charming and credible. We recommend the tour.

5.00We had an amazing street art tour in Sarajevo with our guide, Adnan. He was incredibly resourceful, kind, and engaging throughout the entire experience. As a group of three, we were shown parts of the city we never would have discovered on our own—hidden murals, meaningful graffiti, and stunning pieces tucked away in unexpected corners. What made the tour truly special was the way Adnan brought the art to life with the stories behind each piece. His passion for street art and deep knowledge of Sarajevo’s urban culture made this tour both informative and inspiring. Highly recommended for anyone interested in street art or looking to experience a different, creative side of the city!

5.00Spending 2 hours wandering the streets and seeing the street art of Sarajevo was simply wonderful. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the art as well as life in Sarajevo now and in the past. 5.00Ado, my Guide, filled the city of Sarajevo not only with color, but also with discovery. It took me to places I would never get to, coloring everything with careful and in-depth stories. The world of street art in Sarajevo is a world that needs to be discovered and that plays an important role in rebirth, but also in communication and memory. Absolutely not to be missed

5.00Such a great way to see the city from a different side! You can find all the main sites yourself, and Google the details - this tour introduces you to some of Sarajevo's modern culture, while also providing information about Bosnian and Sarajevo history through the artworks. Ado, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. 10/10 everyone visiting Sarajevo should do this tour ❤️
