Scuba Dogs is a PADI 5-Star Dive Center; the only official operator with all gear, restrooms, showers, lockers and professional staff right there at the Marine Park.
In particular, this scuba tour for certified divers is uniquely AMAZING in the sense that it's a shallow dive no deeper than 30' which allows you to explore safely without decompression issues; practice basic skills and neutral buoyancy in a protected bay; encounter a great diversity and abundance marine life including yellowtail snappers, damselfish, stingrays and turtles; and explore a diverse bottom composition including the historic fish wall, statues, roman columns, shipwreck structures, and coral reef formations.
After a colorful description of the historic and ecological value of this epic site, a professional theory review on the science of diving, and basic skills training in the shallow part of the shoreline, you'll be exploring the entire bay safely under the direct supervision of a dive professional.

Enjoy the natural beauty of an urban reef located in a historic site in the middle of metropolitan San Juan. Dive alongside our guides as we explore a protected bay area, natural and artificial reef formations, ruins of the historic "fish wall", and our version of Atlantis with a collection of small scale replicas Greek and Roman sculptures and columns. Occasionally, you may be able to see our resident green and hawksbill sea turtles, southern stingray and squid!! This 1-Tank Certified Scuba Tour requires a SCUBA certification of Open Water Diver or higher level from a recognized diving organization (PADI, NAUI, SSI). Guests that do not hold any of these certifications can participate in the Discover Scuba Diving excursion. Guests will be required to walk with full SCUBA equipment including tank and weights in and out of the water. Depending on weather and site conditions, guests may encounter limited visibility ranging from 5' to 20'.

5.00My son and I could not have asked for a better experience the instructor massive diver. Manolo put us right at ease. We have not dived in over six years and he made us feel so calm to get right back in the water took us to a wonderful reef showed us some beautiful fishes and Even had a very funny surprise for us at the end. I don’t wanna ruin it but if in when you are in San Juan, Scuba Dogs is a must.

5.00Had an awesome experience driving with Darian and the team at SCUBA Dogs. Took the time to do a quick refresher to get re-acclimated and then enjoyed a quick dive here on site. Lots of fun. Would recommend.

5.00Awesome experience at their Escambron Marine Park location! Our dive guide Paco was excellent on working with a couple newbie divers like myself and my wife. Even with mild currents and limited visibility our guide Paco gave us a great dive briefing and led a safe yet fun dive. Highly recommend them.

5.00We had a great experience with Scuba Dawgs in San Juan. There are not many options for diving in the San Juan metro area, so this worked out well for us. We visited on a day with very rough water, so visibility was low. We have not been on many dives, so this opportunity was great for practice. Would definitely do this again on a future visit.

5.00First of, Manuelo was our guide and he is amazing! I got a call from him a week before we arrived, where he was looking at dive conditions in Escambron. We had initially booked a 2-tank dive and night dive in San Juan while we were there after a cruise. Manuelo told us conditions for a night dive would be rough and offered to do a second dive in Guyanica. Not only did he pick us up from the cruise port and take us to our dive in Escambron, he offered to drive us 2.5 hours across the island to the second site on our second day in PR. The Guyanica dive was amazing. We did our first wall dive, and saw sharks and beautiful fish in the reef. Escambron conditions were a little rough (which is why the night dive was called off!) but we still had a great time and even got to see an octopus! And we essentially had a private dive master with one other woman. I would recommend Scuba Dogs to any diver coming to PR!

Beware - this is not a dive shop - it's a tourist trap

2.00The worst dive experience in 30 years of diving. First, please make sure you understand if this is a shore dive or boat dive. It wasn't clear on the Trip Advisor ad. Ours was a shore dive. Thought I was getting a boat dive. It wasn't easy to get to from our ship even though in my communication with them, they said it was. Both the Lyft and taxi drivers had no idea where it was based on the address supplied. Yes, we had to take two different companies to get there. Scuba Dogs blamed newbies to the island. Neither driver qualified as newbies. The gear was decent. The dive master was nice but given the 2ft visibility, she lost us quite often. Hardly any life. It was just miserable. Unfortunately, I am a very calm diver and our air lasted almost an hour. We only hit 30ft. I should have had more weight due to the depth but didn't realize that until it was too late. I simply never do this kind of dive. And never will again. This was used mostly as a discovery tour and snorkeling. However, however the current made all of it very uncomfortable.
