We collect our guests at their accommodation free of charge, in Walvis bay. All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvis bay. We include a light lunch and drinks.
We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required.
Then we move on to the most memorable Dune Tour and your Namibia Highlight. We go where dune meets sea, harsh and desolate area constantly changing, yet quiet and relaxing, see amazing wild life, and thousand's of sea Birds in these harsh conditions. We go up towering Dunes, to the most beautiful view points, exciting dune drives with skilled and knowledgeable guides
See thousands of pink Flamingos, Pelicans in the Ramsar Walvis bay Wetland .The biggest evaporation pond Salt Mine in Africa with its pink salt waters is seen along the route.

please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

We stop at the Flamingos and view the many beautiful birds at the Lagune.. We might see Pelicans and terns. The route takes us past the pink salt lakes of the huge Salt Mine and we learn how it works. We then turn north to Pelican point ;light house where the 50 000 seals colony is. We find a suitable spot to unload the Kayaks and then peddle into the Bay. The seals swim around the Kayaks, what an awesome experience. We serve some cool drinks and sandwiches once we are done .
Our journey takes us past the enormous Salt Mine harvesting 100000 tons per month, south along the beach to Sandwich Harbor where the Dune belt meets the sea . See the waves carve away the dunes at high tide where it sometimes becomes impossible to enter this beautiful and remote area. We go on a roller coaster dune ride up to the view point with absolute surprise to see the stunning views and the quiet desert ambiance. The huge sea of sand , the dunes, have that special kind of magic ...absolutely unique. Our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the desert area and skillfully drive you to the best spots. Adrenaline soaked dune drives , searching for animals in this desolate area , learn how the plants and animals have evolved to live in the desert. Absolutely Awesome , all of it. A must do when in Namibia.

5.00We had the best time during our full day tour! Our Guide LeClue explained us a lot about the marine life including birds, seals and many more. The tour was was beyond what we expected and what we hoped for, mainly because of our Guide. 11 out of 10 would recommend (and do again)!

5.00LeClue did the tour with us he is very friendly and his knowledge is awesome. Kayaking so close to the Seals is amazing. The tour to Sandwich Harbour is stunning. LeClue stopped at the best view spots. They do also vegan options if you ask in advance.

5.00A great option for a day out from Swakopmund! Sandwich Bay is inaccessible without a guide and Volker was really great along with the rest of the team from Sandwich Harbour Tours. He knew all there is to know about the area - from wildlife to history to oil rigs he had it covered. As the tide was out we started the day heading out to Sandwich Bay, a bit of a drive but we had flamingo, seals, cormorants, oryx, jackal, and the Namibian scenery to enjoy with Volker driving and guiding throughout. A game drive and a bit of dune driving and got us up to some amazing vantage points over Sandwich Bay and some very exciting drops, and rollercoaster style driving got us back down for lunch on the beach. We then headed back to the Walvis Bay to find the seals. We spent a fantastic hour in the water with seals jumping around us and playing with the kayak padel as we floated around. We enjoyed another quick bite to eat after some hard work. Thanks again to Volker, always informative and great to chat to about the local area, Namibia, or wider Africa. We highly recommend the team and activity if you are looking for a day out from Swakopmund.

5.00Le Clue was our guide for this tour - he was friendly and punctual and had a wealth of information to share about the places and animals we saw. We had a small picnic at Sandwich Harbour as well as after the kayaking. Remember to wear waterproof pants ;)

5.00What an adventure! We were traveling in 2 vehicles. Le Clue led the tour with us. In Sandwhich Harbor we unfortunately did not get far because the sea had already nibbled the way. We then stayed in the dunes. From above, we saw that there were two more coming out of a column of six, one stranded on the edge of the dunes with its tyre chipped. The others then had a tour extension by 6h until the low tide comes 😬 We were still digging for water, had fancy brunch and lunch, boarded along the beach and had little luck with the game drive. Later we went to play seals with the kayaks and returned satisfied and exhausted. Great tour! Be sure to do it!!!
