We collect our guests at their accommodation free of charge, in Walvis bay. All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvis bay. We include a light lunch and drinks.
We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required.
Then we move on to the most memorable Dune Tour and your Namibia Highlight. We go where dune meets sea, harsh and desolate area constantly changing, yet quiet and relaxing, see amazing wild life, and thousand's of sea Birds in these harsh conditions. We go up towering Dunes, to the most beautiful view points, exciting dune drives with skilled and knowledgeable guides
See thousands of pink Flamingos, Pelicans in the Ramsar Walvis bay Wetland .The biggest evaporation pond Salt Mine in Africa with its pink salt waters is seen along the route.

please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

We stop at the Flamingos and view the many beautiful birds at the Lagune.. We might see Pelicans and terns. The route takes us past the pink salt lakes of the huge Salt Mine and we learn how it works. We then turn north to Pelican point ;light house where the 50 000 seals colony is. We find a suitable spot to unload the Kayaks and then peddle into the Bay. The seals swim around the Kayaks, what an awesome experience. We serve some cool drinks and sandwiches once we are done .
Our journey takes us past the enormous Salt Mine harvesting 100000 tons per month, south along the beach to Sandwich Harbor where the Dune belt meets the sea . See the waves carve away the dunes at high tide where it sometimes becomes impossible to enter this beautiful and remote area. We go on a roller coaster dune ride up to the view point with absolute surprise to see the stunning views and the quiet desert ambiance. The huge sea of sand , the dunes, have that special kind of magic ...absolutely unique. Our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the desert area and skillfully drive you to the best spots. Adrenaline soaked dune drives , searching for animals in this desolate area , learn how the plants and animals have evolved to live in the desert. Absolutely Awesome , all of it. A must do when in Namibia.

5.00What an amazing day. We were a bit nervous with the fairly high price of doing this combination day tour, but wow it was so worth it. Our guide Le Clue was incredible, he was very professional, conversational, and honestly shared so much learning and info about what we were doing and Namibia in general. The balance with kayaking / interacting with the seals and then cruising through the dunes of sandwich harbour was great. Would and will recommend to anyone traveling to Swakop, thanks again to the amazing team at Desert Dunes and Dust.
Fantastic experience between kayaking and dunes.

5.00We returned home tired but extremely satisfied with the day we spent. Our guide Volker was kind, friendly, and helpful from the very beginning, and he explained a lot of interesting things to us. The kayak tour among the seals was spectacular, very exciting: we had much more fun than expected. Equally exciting was the ride on the dunes at Sandwich Harbour: adrenaline and breathtaking landscapes. The snacks and lunch also made the day enjoyable and satisfying. I confirm the other reviews of 10/10, absolutely recommended experience. Well done, Volker!

5.00Minor hiccup at the start, they forgot our pickup, but a quick call sorted it and we were on our way, though we did lose quite bit of time. From there, the day was fantastic. Kayaking with seals was genuinely unforgettable, the dune driving at Sandwich Harbour was spectacular, and our guide LeClue was both knowledgeable and great fun. Can recommend!

4.00Great experience, kayaking in the morning with sea lions, sand dunes in the afternoon. The only negative: complicated communication with the company remotely: they did not reply to an email or WhatsApp message. It’s a shame.

5.00This tour was fabulous. Kayaking with the seals was a once in a lifetime experience, very exciting when they climb on your boat to play as well. Sand dunes and scenery was first class one of the most beautiful places we have been. Then to top it all our guide LeClue was simple the best of the best. There was nothing he didn't know about Namibia and kept us entertained with facts all the way along the trip. lunch was superb supplying both meat and veggie option's. We have done many GYG trips over the years but this one was probably the best.

5.00Excellent from start to finish! Our guide Le Clue was so knowledgable about Namibia, its plant, animals, industry and history. He clearly loves what he does. He gave great information at a pace that was comfortable for a day long excursion. Kayaking with the seals couldn’t have been better. We were in the midst of hundreds of curious youngsters and female seals. The dune ride was more spectacular than we expected. Le Clue is clearly a highly experienced dune driver and we enjoyed the thrills. Don’t miss this amazing excursion and ask if Le Clue is available to be your guide!

5.00We had a fantastic full-day tour with Le Clue. From start to finish, he did everything he could to make it an amazing day for us. He has a great deal of knowledge and conveys it in an easy and engaging way, so we learned a lot about the different animals, as well as much more about Namibia. We enjoyed breathtaking views in Walvis Bay, and the kayaking with the seals was a truly unique experience. The food was very delicious, and the day itself was very entertaining and flew by. Highly recommended.

5.00We had a scenic Sandwich Harbour tour with Le Clue, and it was an absolute highlight of our Namibia trip. Sandwich Harbour is a truly remarkable destination within the Namib-Naukluft National Park, where towering sand dunes dramatically plunge into the Atlantic Ocean, creating a surreal lagoon teeming with birdlife and breathtaking scenery. Le Clue's 4x4 driving skills are nothing short of impressive — navigating steep, shifting dunes at the water's edge requires real expertise and confidence, and he made it look effortless while keeping the experience thrilling and safe.
