We collect our guests at their accommodation free of charge, in Walvis bay. All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvis bay. We include a light lunch and drinks.
We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required.
Then we move on to the most memorable Dune Tour and your Namibia Highlight. We go where dune meets sea, harsh and desolate area constantly changing, yet quiet and relaxing, see amazing wild life, and thousand's of sea Birds in these harsh conditions. We go up towering Dunes, to the most beautiful view points, exciting dune drives with skilled and knowledgeable guides
See thousands of pink Flamingos, Pelicans in the Ramsar Walvis bay Wetland .The biggest evaporation pond Salt Mine in Africa with its pink salt waters is seen along the route.

please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

We stop at the Flamingos and view the many beautiful birds at the Lagune.. We might see Pelicans and terns. The route takes us past the pink salt lakes of the huge Salt Mine and we learn how it works. We then turn north to Pelican point ;light house where the 50 000 seals colony is. We find a suitable spot to unload the Kayaks and then peddle into the Bay. The seals swim around the Kayaks, what an awesome experience. We serve some cool drinks and sandwiches once we are done .
Our journey takes us past the enormous Salt Mine harvesting 100000 tons per month, south along the beach to Sandwich Harbor where the Dune belt meets the sea . See the waves carve away the dunes at high tide where it sometimes becomes impossible to enter this beautiful and remote area. We go on a roller coaster dune ride up to the view point with absolute surprise to see the stunning views and the quiet desert ambiance. The huge sea of sand , the dunes, have that special kind of magic ...absolutely unique. Our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the desert area and skillfully drive you to the best spots. Adrenaline soaked dune drives , searching for animals in this desolate area , learn how the plants and animals have evolved to live in the desert. Absolutely Awesome , all of it. A must do when in Namibia.

5.00We had an absolute blast today with Le Clue. He’s super knowledgeable and a fun guy to hang out with. We saw so many seals and driving over de dunes was great fun. The lunch provided was tasty and Luca is the best little helper we could’ve asked for. If we had more time in Swakopmund we’d definitely book a tour with Le Clue again.

5.00My family (husband and 2 kids, 11 & 8) spent the best day with Leclue. We stared with sea kayaking - the 5 month old seals are the most heart warming creatures imaginable, they’re like cute puppies popping up everywhere with endless fascination of us. We stopped at the salt pans and ended the day with the dune driving. We felt safe throughout this - Leclue is a great driver and is a walking encyclopaedia! We had substantial snacks at 11.30 then more good food at 2.30 ish for lunch - whilst watching whales and dolphins in the sea. If you do anything while you’re here then this tour is a must!

5.00Fantastic day with our guide Le Clue. Very knowledgeable, helpful and happy to answer all our questions. Door to door service made the day very easy. Stopped by small flock of juvenile flamingos, explained salt mining process, kayaking with Cape Fur Seals was so fun. Easy paddle not far off shore. Followed by generous morning tea of sandwiches before heading to the dunes of Sandwich Harbour. Was exhilarating driving through the dunes which delighted the teenage sons. Felt totally safe, Le Clue is an expert driver, engaging and entertaining host. Another generous lunch in the dunes before heading back to Swakopmund.

5.00We had an amazing day trip in Walvis Bay guided by Le Clue from Sandwich Harbor Tours. From online booking to confirmation to pick up and drop off, every step was smooth. Le Clue was very knowledgeable and passionate about the unique animals living in the Bay, he is also an expert 4x4 jeep driver and kayaking guide. We were “surfing” over the unimaginable vast sand dunes that extend 400 miles along the coast line, and watched dancing flamingos, and countless seals that playing on shore or swimming with kayaks. It was an unforgettable 7 hour tour, we only wish we could stay longer! Thank you Le Clue and your team.

5.00Absolutely loved this tour! We had such a great time with LeClue and his son Luca!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This tour includes everything you need to see in Walvis with sea kayaking with hundreds of seals and dune driving in sandwich harbour. This is a small if not private tour of the area. LeClue has lots of interesting knowledge regarding the dunes and the wildlife. I learned a lot! Driving the dunes was incredible- but you absolutely need a guide to do it!! Will be impossible to drive on your own to find the “roads” and popular dunes. LeClue was a very safe driver and yet we still had a lot of fun on the steeper dunes. The food included for breakfast and lunch was excellent and the meal setups along the beach and dunes were beautiful! LeClue brought his son Luca along with us and it honestly made everything more fun! Such a funny and friendly kid. Leclue even had small bottles to collect sand as a keepsake. Overall, the tour was 100% worth the price and I’d highly recommend it.

5.00Our tour guide, LeClue Louw, was one of the best we’ve ever had. He was friendly, a skilled driver and extremely knowledgeable. Ask for him if you can. We kayaked with seals and drove through huge sand dunes. We have sand dunes at home, but nothing compared with these. We saw a variety of animals, birds, pelicans, and flamingos. We also stopped at Africa’s largest evaporation-pond salt mine, its pink waters made for great pictures. We highly recommend this for anyone wanting to see the very best of Walvis Bay in one incredible day. A mid-morning snack, lunch and refreshing drinks were included, which was a nice added touch.
