Over the course of 3 immersive hours, you'll visit local eateries and enjoy delicious bites that showcase Louisville's culinary heritage. As you wander through the historic streets of two of Louisville's oldest neighborhoods, you’ll uncover the stories behind the city’s rich history, visit a historic home once occupied by Thomas Edison, sample a unique confection inspired by a Victorian actress, and trace the paths of the immigrants who shaped Louisville.

5.00Allison was a great tour guide. Really bubbly and friendly personality. The food stops were great. Would have loved to do the whiskey pairing but I chose not to add that in. It looked good though!

5.00Great tour! Our guide Christina was so knowledgeable and passionate about louisville and NuLu! The tour provided great stops for traditional Kentucky foods. Walked through neighborhoods and really got a feel for the town. Christina suggested places to go and things to do while we were visiting. Hands down one of the best tour companies. They used microphones and we each got a headset so we could hear everything. Would absolutely use this tour company again!

5.00I recently went on a guided food tour led by Allison, and it was an amazing way to explore Louisville. The tour curated a thoughtful selection of local favorites, each offering something unique. From the first stop to the last, it felt like a journey through the culture and history, not just the cuisine. What stood out most was the variety. We sampled everything from pretzels and cheese to ice cream. Each stop came with a bit of storytelling—whether it was the history behind a family-owned restaurant or factoid of the area. That context made the experience feel richer and more memorable than eating at a chain restaurant. The pacing was also well-balanced. There was enough walking between locations to keep things from feeling overwhelming, and it gave us time to digest (both the food and the information). The portions were just right—satisfying without being excessive—so by the end, I felt pleasantly full rather than stuffed. Another highlight is Allison and that Louisville Food Tours is a local company. Her enthusiasm and knowledge really tied everything together. She wasn't just pointing out places to eat; she was connecting the dots between food, history, and local culture in a way that made the city feel more alive. Overall, I’d highly recommend a food tour to anyone visiting a new place or even locals looking to rediscover their own city. It’s a great mix of exploration, education, and, of course, delicious food.
Disappointing value for the cost

3.00This tour felt quite overpriced for what was offered—$155 per person including tip. There were six stops, but the portions and quality didn’t justify the cost: one breadstick, a half beer, small biscuits with gravy, a cup of soup that tasted like leftovers, a decent-sized chicken strip, two pieces of candy, and a scoop of ice cream. Overall, the food was nothing special, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit any of the locations on their own. The tour guide was pleasant and very chatty throughout, but there weren’t many real “secrets of Louisville” shared, which was a bit disappointing given how the tour was marketed.

5.00Katie was amazing! She ushered us through the streets making sure everyone was safe and well fed. Food stops were great and non-alcoholic drinkers and allergies were well handled. Would recommend this tour to anyone and ask for Katie. She deserves the accolades. I’ve been on many food tours around the world, and this one was a great one!
