Download The Tour: Download the tour in the GuideAlong app under 'My Tours' over WiFi or cellular data.
Start The Tour: Open the tour in the GuideAlong app to preview the start locations, tour route and trip planner, or start the tour.

Artists Palette
The scenic detour along Artist's Drive, off Badwater Road, is a roller coaster-like experience - a narrow one-way road that zigs and zags between mounds of multicolored rock. Every which way you turn you'll see a full palette of colors, ranging from coppery green to terra-cotta yellow to brick red and even pink. The pigments on display are derived from deposits of different mineral deposits. The Artist's Palette is the most concentrated area along the drive and makes for sublime photos.

1.00Actually 0 stars! It did not work and was not linkable in the app. No refund possible and we had to help ourselves using Google maps and the information booths on site.

5.00In 2001 we drove through Death Valley before, but without much info. This time we got the package with several national parks and the audio tour of Action Tour Guide not only provided us with great information, but also led us to paths/places that were still so obviously open to everyone. Very good We'll be back!

5.00We usually go on tours with in person guides. This self guided audio tour was great. The guide shared a lot of interesting information and we enjoyed going at our own pace. Also, we really appreciated the helpful tips he shared. We’ll definitely do another self guided tour in our national park quest. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!
