A very warm welcome from Lorelle, Greg and the team here at Wine Tours by Bike Your day in a nutshell... We offer 2 bike hire timeslots.... 10.00am-4.00pm with a shuttle pickup from your accommodation at 9.30am or 11.00am-5.00pm with the shuttle pickup from your accommodation at 10.30am. The shuttle service is offered if your accommodation is in Blenheim within 15km of our base (our address is 33 Blicks Road, Renwick, so if in doubt, please look on Google before booking or contact us directly to double check). On arrival at our base you will get the chance to try out the bikes to find one that suits you. You will be given your own detailed cellar door map to keep to refer to during the day and the team will talk you through this to help get you orientated with the area. There is then a short safety briefing and a video that runs through all of the cellar doors that has up-to-date information on what wines they offer, their tasting charges, if they have food available and their opening/closing times. The team will be there at all times to help you with any questions you may have, and offer advice and ideas on routes and where you might like go. You will be fitted with a hi-vis helmet and given a lanyard to pop around your neck (this has our contact details on it and a reminder of what time your bike hire finishes), then you are free to go and visit your chosen cellar doors and do so all at your own pace. If you need us for anything whilst you are out, the team are but a phone call away. Once your time on the bikes is finished, you return to our base and our shuttle will be waiting here to take you back to your accommodation again. If on our 10.00am-4.00pm timeslot, our shuttle should have you home safe and sound by 4.30pm. If on our 11.00am-5.00pm timeslot, our shuttle should have you home safe and sound by 5.30pm. You may also bring yourselves directly to our base if you would prefer - we have plenty of free parking available for you. The legal alcohol drinking age is 18 years old. Please remember to bring either an International Passport ID , or a NZ Drivers License if you are aged between 18-25 years old. (The cellar doors can only legally accept these as forms of ID) Lunch Ideas Most of the cellar doors offer cheese/mixed platters and you do not need to book in to get one of these ahead of time - you can just order one when you arrive there to have alongside your tastings. However, if you would prefer something a little more substantial, these are the restaurant options that are within biking distance and to be on the safe-side, we would recommend that you book at table before the day of your bike hire. The Fancy Cow - 25 minutes biking from our base (Open 5 days, closed on Monday & Tuesday) Allan Scott - 40 minutes biking from our base – bookings essential (Open 7 days a week) Vines Village Café - 20 minutes biking from our base (Open 7 days a week). If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know as we are more than happy to recommend the restaurant/s that we feel will be the best at catering for you. Note: Please do not book lunch at Wither Hills, Saint Clair’s, Harvest Restaurant or the Wine Kitchen as they are all too far away and therefore not accessible on our bikes - best visited by car :-) CELLAR DOORS There is no need for you to book in ahead of time to visit any of the cellar doors that surround us here in Renwick. You will have upwards of 12+ to choose from who are between 5-20 minutes biking from our place and you can simply turn up and they will do a tasting with you. Had a fabulous day and weather was perfect. Stopped at one of the wineries for lunch, which was excellent. Paths are well defined and pretty flat most of the way, bikes were comfy and a selection of sizes to choose from. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic day exploring the wineries by bike. Very friendly shuttle pickup and dropoff (thanks Pam!) took us to the heart of the vineyards to start our cycling. Plenty of good advice on where to go and Lorelle also took the time to phone a couple of vineyards for us and confirm tasting and lunch bookings. Would recommend and already planning to do again.

I had such a fantastic time on this self‑guided cycle tour around the wine cellars in Blenheim. It was the perfect mix of freedom, scenery, and delicious wine. The route was really easy to follow, and cycling between the vineyards made the whole experience feel relaxed and unhurried — exactly what you want on a wine‑tasting day. Every stop had its own charm, and the staff at each winery were welcoming and knowledgeable, and it never felt rushed or commercial. Being able to explore at my own pace was a huge plus; I could linger where I wanted, take photos, enjoy the sunshine, and soak up the atmosphere. The bikes were comfortable and well‑maintained, and the whole experience felt thoughtfully put together. It’s such a fun, memorable way to discover the region — whether you’re a wine lover or just looking for a unique way to spend the day. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Blenheim.

What a great experience! Out of all our wine tours, we loved this self-guided tour the best. We were able to move at our own pace, which gave us time to view the winery at leisure. With flat terrain path, the bike ride was easy and stress free. And the customer service is exceptional! They were accommodating throughout--bike pick up, understanding the map, location pick up. Highly recommend doing a bike tour, and definitely with Wine Tours By Bike in Renwick.

Greg and Lorelle looked after us really well. No need to drive because they picked us up from and returned us to the campsite. Excellent advice about the wineries and a great selection of bikes to choose from. All done with good humour and a smile. What a great day out. Thank you. Steve, Jane and Rosie.

The entire experience was fantastic. Greg was on time picking us up and was very friendly. Lorelle and Greg provided recommendations for wineries and a route, and they also gave us information on which wineries were closed on Sunday. The bikes were in good condition.

This was the best way to get around to various wineries in the Renwick area. All the wineries we visited had bike stands, so they realize the role that bike tours play in their business.

It's hard to put into words how grateful we are for the wonderful experience we had with Lorelle and Greg. My husband and I are celebrating our 50th anniversary in New Zealand and had really been looking forward to our bike trip through the vineyards in the Marlborough region. As luck would have it, my husband's foot slipped on the bike pedal before we had even left the parking lot (a totally self-inflicted mishap) and he scraped his shin (which looked worse than it was.) Pam, Greg and Lorelle quickly came to the rescue with wipes and bandages, and we collectively determined that biking that day was out for us. So that we would not miss out on vineyard experience, the team quickly offered to drive us to the vineyards and pick us up as needed. We had a perfect day of wine tasting and lunch thanks to their generosity. Biking through the vineyards is a not-to-be-missed activity if you are visiting the Marlborough wine region and Lorelle and Greg's rental company is the one you want to use. They go out of their way to make sure your memories are happy ones- no matter what!
